Brawler's Guild Guide (WoW MoP 5.3)
The Brawler's Guild is a faction that will test your solo skills against 52 opponents, which you will have to defeat in a predefined order. Our goal with this guide is to give you all the information you need in order to defeat all these opponents and to earn all the achievements and rewards.
To help you get started, we made a short introductory video that explains the basics.
1. Joining the Brawler's Guild↑top
In order the join the Brawler's Guild, you will need a
Blood-Soaked Invitation, which you can get from the Black Market
Auction House or from select enemy NPCs. You can also join the Brawler's
Guild by using a
Brawler's Pass (Alliance / Horde), which is given to players as a reward
for having defeated 24 of the 52 Brawler's Guild opponents.
If you intend to buy an invitation from the Black Market's Auction House, then you will probably need to be present at the Black Market when the auction is about to end. This way, you will be able to keep outbidding other players until the auction runs out of time.
For Alliance players, a
Blood-Soaked Invitation can be looted from
Kar Warmaker, Ubunti the Shade, and Muerta, the rare elites
that spawn roughly every hour at Domination Point.
For Horde players, a
Blood-Soaked Invitation can be looted from
Dalan Nightbreaker, Mavis Harms, Disha Fearwarden,
the rare elites that spawn roughly every hour at Lion's Landing.
Once in possession of a
Blood-Soaked Invitation or a
Brawler's Pass (Alliance / Horde), all you need to join the Brawler's Guild is right-click it.
2. Locations↑top
There is one Brawler's Guild location per faction and per realm.
- The Alliance arena is located within the Deeprun Tram in Stormwind City (see at 01:23 in the above video).
- The Horde arena is located in the north-eastern building of the Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar (see at 00:39 in the above video).
As you can see in the video, both Brawler's Guild locations are instanced (i.e., you need to enter a portal to access it). We currently do not know whether there can be multiple instances of each location, as there are never enough players to warrant it on the PTR.
At each Brawler's Guild location, there is only one combat ring (for which players queue). This means that, at peak hours, you may have to queue for a long time before being able to play.
3. The Fights↑top
As we said in the introduction, you will have to defeat a total of 52 opponents. To start a fight, simply talk to one of the NPCs in the corner of the arena and ask to queue for a fight. While waiting for your turn, you can watch other players fight, but will not be to interact with their fight in any meaningful way. When your turn will come, you will be teleported inside the arena and, after a few seconds, your opponent will appear.
To help you save money on potions, the Brawler's Guild quartermaster
of your faction will sell you potions equivalent to the usual level
90 potions. These potions only cost 95
, but cannot be
used anywhere else than in the Brawler's Guild arena. These potions
are:
Brawler's Healing Potion,
Potion of Brawler's Might,
Potion of Brawler's Cunning, and
Potion of Brawler's Deftness.
The 52 opponents are organised in 10 groups of 4 (regular fights) and an additional group of 12 (special fights that you need to unlock by completing quests).
3.1. Regular Fights: Ranks 1 to 10
For regular Brawler's Guild fights, you will start by fighting opponents of the easiest group and then move on to fight opponents of increasing difficulty. In a given group, you will fight opponents in a predefined order. Each time you defeat the four opponents of a group, you increase your Brawler's Guild rank and unlock the next group of opponents. Some ranks grant you new rewards or achievements when you reach them.
Technically, a Brawler's Guild rank is like a reputation that has goes from 0 to 1000. It will appear in the reputation window of your character pane. Every time you win a fight, you increase your reputation by 250, which means that after 4 fights, you reach a new reputation level (or rank).
Gear is not scaled down (as it is in Challenge Modes) when entering a Brawler's Guild fight, which means that fights get easier as your gear gets better.
The opponents are listed below. As we publish new opponent guides, we will update this table to add the links.

To unlock each of these bosses, you will need to complete a small quest line, which is started by a specific quest item. Each quest item has a different source and Wowhead found a few of them. In the table below, you will find the quest item needed for each of the special bosses. We will update the table at a later date to include the source for each item.
3.3. Redoing a Fight
After beating a boss, you will be able to do the fight again as many times as you like. In order to do so, you need to talk to Card Trader Leila at the Stormwind Brawler's Guild Arena if you play Alliance or to Card Trader Amia at the Orgrimmar Brawler's Guild Arena if you play Horde.
These vendors will sell you Challenge Cards for each of the bosses you have already defeated. To fight that boss again, simply buy the corresponding Challenge Card and present it to one of the bouncers. You will be able to queue for that specific boss.
Each Challenge Card has a rank mention on it, which seems to indicate the difficulty of the fight (very useful for special bosses).

3.4. Mysterious Boss: Bao'za
These seems to be a 53rd boss, Bao'za, who does not appear anywhere, except
in the game files. There is a Challenge Card associated to this boss:
Challenge Card: Bao'za.
The name of the boss is reminiscent of Bowser, the final boss in Super Mario games, so Bao'za may be a sort of final boss of the Brawler's Guild, after all the other bosses have been defeated.
4. Rewards↑top
Every time you win a fight, you will be given around 10
and a
Brawler's Purse, which contains a junk quality item that you can
sell for approximately 30
.
In addition, there are currently two item rewards, which you can buy from Quackenbush (Alliance) and Paul North (Horde).
| Item | Type | Rank | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pet | Rank 4 | 28 |
|
| Ring + Teleport | Rank 4 | 4,750 |
|
| 1-80 Heirloom | Rank 8 | 2,175 |
|
| 1-85 Heirloom | Rank 8 | ||
| Epic Mount | Rank 10 | 1,425 |
Upon reaching Rank 7 and Rank 9, you get a
Brawler's Pass (Alliance / Horde), which it sent
by the mail. You can sell it or give it to a friend.
4.1. Shirts
Every time you defeat a quest boss and complete the related quest, you receive a shirt that you can use with your transmogrification (see this news on Wowhead for screenshots of the shirts).
Wraps of the Blood-Soaked Brawler is a reward for defeating all 12 quest bosses.
5. Spectating the Fights with Far-Sight Totems in Orgrimmar↑top
Following complaints from players that Horde fights were hard to follow (due to the arena being at the same level as the surrounding), Far-Sight Totems have been added around the Horde arena.
Clicking these totems will give you a much better viewpoint on the fights.
