Augmentation Evoker PvP Stat Priority, Gear, and Trinkets — The War Within (11.2.5)

The stat priority for Augmentation Evokers in PvP is as follows:

1. Intellect;
2. Versatility;
3. Haste;
4. Mastery;
5. Critical Strike.

Intellect is the best stat in all situations. Versatility is the most important secondary stat as it increases the healing you do and reduces the damage you take. Haste is the next best stat. This allows you to cast your spells faster and increases your overall damage output.

In general, Augmentation Evokers want to get trinkets that increase their overall damage output. These trinkets can have a passive or on-use effect. For gear, you want anything that has Versatility and Mastery on it. This will increase your overall damage output and your survivability. As noted above, acquiring both your 2-set and 4-set bonus is crucial. It is important to note that ALL tier sets are nerfed to 33% effectiveness in PvP. Although this nerf is significant, tier sets are still important to acquire to maximize your chances of winning. In Patch 11.2, there are different tier sets for each different hero talent for each specialization. Below are the different tier sets for Augmentation Evoker.

• 2-set: Tip the Scales cooldown is reduced by 60 sec.
• 4-set: Temporal Burst causes Chrono Flames to strike 2 additional target and repeat 15% additional damage or healing, and increases Essence ability damage and healing by 30%.

• 2-set: While flying during Breath of Eons and for 20 seconds after, you command a squadron of 2 Dracthyr who will attack your targets with Disintegrate and Pyre.
• 4-set: While your squadron is active, your Mass Eruption strikes up to 2 additional targets. In addition, your squadron assists you for 10 additional sec.

Although both tier sets are strong, the Scalecommander tier set gives more sustained and burst damage, giving your team a longer window to land a kill. This is the tier set that is recommended to use in arena.

Embellishments are bonuses that can be put on crafted gear. These effects can have a drastic impact on the game. You are only allowed to have 2 Embellishments equipped at the same time. Here are the recommended Embellishments for Augmentation Evokers:

• Ascendance/ Writhing Armor Banding. While in combat, Ascendance grants 89 of a random secondary stat, stacking up to 10 times. Writhing Armor Banding doubles this affect. This combination of Embellishments is the best for Augmentation Evoker. Ascendance can only be crafted on a weapon.
• Duskthread Lining. This Embellishment significantly increases your Versatility when you are above 80% health. This can be used if you do not want to double the affect of Ascendance with Writhing Armor Banding.
