FAQDoes Damage from Trinkets Work with
Atonement?
Nebulous Voidcores (Bonus Rolls)
Nebulous Voidcore's can be utilized to roll for bonus pieces
of loot from Raid bosses or dungeons. You will receive two of these per week
starting later in the season. It will cost one to roll on a Raid boss or on a
specific dungeon's loot table. Which item you will receive from the
location you utilize these will be random, but once you get a specific item
from that loot table you will not receive it again. As a result, it may
take a handful of weeks/attempts to get the specific item you want, but you
are eventually guaranteed to get it with enough attempts.
While the ability to purchase
Nebulous Voidcore directly will
remain locked until later in the season, you will have the ability to earn
these through your Great Vault.
Recommended Nebulous Voidcore Usage for Discipline Priest
In Season 2, bonus rolling on a heroic difficulty raid boss will provide a 1/6 upgrade track Mythic item instead of a Heroic item. This means you can get access to powerful items early off bosses that normally would be incredibly difficult to kill on Mythic difficulty. Specifically, the final boss of the raid has 3 powerful cantrip items make up the bosses entire loot table for cloth healers. One of these items is a main-hand weapon. As a result, we recommend spending your first 3 vaults of the season claiming Nebulous Voidcores and using them to bonus roll the final boss of the raid on heroic difficulty until you have all 3 items.
Crafted Gear and Embellishments for Discipline Priests
As your ability to craft early season is heavily time-gated by both your access to sparks and higher tier crests, you want to ensure your early crafts are high value. Due to the fact that we will be bonus rolling for a Mythic cantrip Main-hand weapon, we do not want to be crafting a weapon in most cases. As a result, your general priority will be as follows:
Keep in mind that while it is a waste of sparks, if you get unlucky with the bonus roll strategy early on and don't get the Mythic cantrip weapon in your first roll or two, you can craft a main hand as well as a temporary hold-over. Crest wise, you're fine because it will simply discount the cantrip dagger the cost of the sparks you spend when you do eventually get it, you're just wasting the 2 sparks. Whether or not you do this will be heavily dependent on your specific situation and the order in which you get your items via the bonus roll.
For more information about crafting gear you can visit our Professions page.
Best Embellishments for Discipline Priest
Embellishments are special effects that are either found on crafted pieces by default or can be added to crafted pieces during the crafting process. A character can have two embellishments equipped at any time.
We are currently recommending crafting the following two embellishments for your eventual BiS setup:
Hunter's Ritual Stone on any main-hand or off-hand craft during
the gearing process.
Arcanoweave Lining on 2 different items. Early on you can throw
this on any piece of crafted gear that accepts it, but eventual BiS will
have these on low budget item slots like Bracers and Cloak.
Adding Sockets to Gear
You can add sockets to Helmets, Belts, and Bracers with
the
Miasmic Jewelbinder consumable that you can get if you do not select any of the choices in
your Great Vault. Not picking a choice will grant you tokens, six of which can be
traded in for the
Miasmic Jewelbinder item that allows you to add a socket to the above piece
of gear, if you acquired them in Season 2.
Crest Usage
Early into a season when you have limited access to crests, such as
Myth Mistcrest, it is very important to be spending them in an
efficient manner. This will allow you to optimize your early season power as
best as possible. The following is a general priority list of what slots
have the largest power budget and should be a the priority upgrades with your
crests.
