Restoration Druid Healing Gear and Best in Slot — The War Within (11.0.7)

We do not believe a strict Best in Slot list is possible due to how stat weights work for Restoration Druids. Secondary stats are extremely close to each other, with Intellect increasing the most per each item level. The optimal gearing strategy, in this case, would be to equip the highest item-level pieces whenever possible, excluding trinkets and tier, preferring items with Haste.

Cyrce's Circlet is a new ring introduced in Patch 11.0.7, obtainable by completing various activities on Siren Isle. The ring features three sockets, each capable of holding a unique type of gem. With four gem options available for each socket—12 gems in total—you have plenty of flexibility when deciding how to customize your ring.

Keep in mind that one of the gems scales heavily off your current Mastery rating. While raiding Druids should have an abundance of this stat, your Mythic+ gear will generally have lower levels of it, and you also might not want this Mastery on Cyrce's Circlet at all. Keeping this all in mind, the recommendations here are going to be purely focused on healing aspect of the benefits provided by the ring. At the launch of Patch 11.0.7, we recommend you equip this ring immediately upon getting the required gems.

As for the gems themselves, these are the ones we recommend:

• Stormbringer's Runed Citrine
• Fathomdweller's Runed Citrine
• Old Salt's Bardic Citrine or Windsinger's Runed Citrine

Old Salt's Bardic Citrine will provide more healing, but that is all it does, which makes it a very good choice for raids. Windsinger's Runed Citrine is a better choice for dungeons, even as you go past Haste diminishing return breakpoints.

Crafting is an essential way of getting high-item-level gear. You can get one naturally every 2 weeks unless you pick half of the spark from your weekly vault.

Since there are only a few crafts you can make at these item levels, it is important to choose the slots wisely. We do not recommend crafting anything in the potential tier slots (Head, Shoulders, Chest, Gloves, Legs). Another factor to remember is Embellished items. You can only wear two items with these effects, similar to legendaries in previous expansions. These effects will not do nearly as much, but they still can add some healing or damage.

Crafting choices are a bit complicated. Darkmoon Sigil: Ascension is a bit better than others, but it can only go on weapons. Since this is a Nerubian Embellishment, you can use Writhing Armor Banding on another slot (for example, bracers) and gain the most power. If you are not using a weapon craft, then you will probably want to go for Waders of the Unifying Flame and Duskthread Lining.

First of all, make sure you do not craft anything until after you do the raid or clear at least a few Mythic dungeons. It will be even better to wait until week 2 of the season and loot the first vault before crafting anything. Especially if you are able to clear higher levels of Mythic+ and acquire Gilded Harbinger Crest. In that case, we recommend using the first craft on Vagabond's Bounding Baton with Darkmoon Sigil: Ascension. Your second craft will only happen on week 3 of the season and will probably be bracers with Writhing Armor Banding.

Having said all that, there will be a few situations where item-level upgrades will not be actual upgrades. Sockets are usually worth more than 10 item levels, Leech on the first 2-3 pieces is worth about 5 item levels, and Avoidance around as much. Due to Leech providing a bit of power, we will only give a definite BiS list for any slots if the gains from effects on them are better than a random piece with Leech in that slot.

For Mythic+ gearing, you will generally want to equip Mastery until you are comfortable with healing requirements. Some play with 0 Mastery on gear to deal more damage, and some go into it more heavily. There will be no magic number we can give you.

No special weapons will make you drop item levels. Equip whatever combination of Two-Handed or One-Handed plus Off-Hand that gives you more Intellect and Leech.

For direct trinket comparison, use QELive made by Voulk. We will list a few special trinkets here with comments on their power level.

The following list ranks trinkets for raid purposes. Trinkets in the same tier are listed in the order of their power.

1. S-tier — Spymaster's Web.
2. A-tier — Gale of Shadows, Unbound Changeling, Ovi'nax's Mercurial Egg, Ara-Kara Sacbrood.
3. B-tier — Empowering Crystal of Anub'ikkaj, Shadow-Binding Ritual Knife, Creeping Coagulum.
4. C-tier — Mereldar's Toll, Viscous Coaglam, Scrapsinger's Symphony.
5. D-tier — Siphoning Phylactery Shard, Treacherous Transmitter, Gruesome Syringe.

High Speaker's Accretion and Corrupted Egg Shell at 639 item level are worse than Darkmoon Deck: Ascension (577) and Darkmoon Deck: Symbiosis (577).

It is hard to provide the list for Mythic+ trinkets due to the nature of healing there. You can get a general sense of their relative power from the raid list. However, keep in mind that it does not take damage into account. As such, for Mythic+, you might want to use both Gale of Shadows and Ara-Kara Sacbrood over Spymaster's Web. The throughput they provide is not as bursty, and they do not have Mastery as a passive stat.
