AoC February Dev Update – Rogue PTR, New Dungeons & More

Intrepid Studios just wrapped up their February developer livestream, giving players another look at Ashes of Creation‘s ongoing development. Hosted by Margaret Krohn (Director of Communications) and Steven Sharif (Creative Director), the stream covered everything from Alpha 2 progress and upcoming new features. Rogue Class Testing & Phase 2 Access

If you have been waiting to test the Rogue class, now is your chance! The devs detailed new tactical stealth mechanics, including proximity-based stealth detection and skill refinements. They also confirmed that Phase 2 access is available for Alpha 2 bundle holders, pre-orders, and Kickstarter backers, so more players can jump into testing.

New Pocket Dungeon: Apothecarium Dreadmire

The dev team showcased Apothecarium Dreadmire, a new pocket dungeon set in the desert. Players can expect unique NPC encounters, reward tables, and hidden areas, plus outposts and nodes expanding throughout the desert region.

PvP and Node Sieges – A Major Feature in the Works

PvP fans also got some exciting news. Ashes of Creation is introducing large-scale Node Sieges that emphasize cross-team coordination and community-driven battles. The devs are actively refining this feature based on feedback from testers.

Weapon Updates: Two-Handed Axes and Dual-Wielding Hints

A new two-handed axe is in development, and while it was not fully showcased, the devs hinted that dual-wielded hand axes might be coming in future updates.

Bug Fixes, Performance Updates and Future Content

The team is actively working on performance optimizations, networking improvements, and gameplay refinements. They also teased a potential trading post, new gatherable resources, and an evolving desert biome.
