Big news for all Ashes of Creation players! The latest patch, from January 30, 2025, brought some massive changes across all classes which will greatly affect certain gameplay aspects! Here is a quick overview:
Bard
- Damage Nerfs: Bards, previously topping most charts with their high damage and good support capabilities, have received significant damage reductions across multiple skills. For example, the damage bonus per debuff on ‘Dark Lullaby’ has been slashed from 15% down to 3% for single target. Similarly, ‘Chilling Lament’ got a decrease in base damage from 75% to 60% for single targets. These adjustments are done to balance the Bard’s dual role in parties.
- Support Buffs: To reinforce their primary role as support, some healing and support spells have been improved. The ‘Resonance’ skill now grants an extra stack at the end of songs and dances.
Fighter
- Skill Changes: Fighters have received various adjustments to improve their combat effectiveness. For example, ‘Cataclysm’ now has a reduced cooldown from 45 seconds to 30 seconds, allowing for more frequent use. Additionally, ‘Wallop’ charges have been reduced from 3 to 1, but it now trips staggered targets, requiring a more strategic approach to combat.
Other Classes
- Mage: For Mages, the ‘Shatter’ ability’s damage has been reduced from 300% to 225% for better balance in magical combat.
- Tank: Good news for Tanks, as ‘Vengeance’ received a damage increase from 90/100/110% to 120/130/150%, and now offers more temporary health per use. The skill has changed from AOE to single target and no longer breaks combo progression, which will allow for better combat sequences.
