The second Combat Beta update for Brighter Shores is now live for testers on the beta branch! Here is a quick rundown of the latest changes and improvements.
Beta Combat Updates
These updates are currently beta-exclusive, but they should roll out to everyone soon:
- Untuned weapons and armor are converted into combat-dropped items (not crafted items as previously stated). You will need to re-copy your non-BETA branch character to get this change.
- When infusing, whether or not the resulting epic item is crafted has been changed to avoid a large wealth gain in some scenarios.
- Fix bug where enchantress bounties prevented the character from being imported.
- Improved the balancing of weapon/armor prices so there is a more appropriate difference in price between common/uncommon/rare.
- Make the damage cap in combat a little bit less aggressive so if there is a large level difference between combatants, the combat finishes slightly faster.
- Increase the level of some side-quest boss monsters.
- The price of most foraging items, fish, gathering items, logs, stone and ores has been increased to correctly account for the journey time it takes to bank/sell them. This is particular important for distant items like ‘limpets’ which were barely worth the effort to collect before. The price of all potions, food and weapons produced from these items has also increased as a consequence.
- The weapon crafting interface has a new button which sets the level of the weapon to your combat level.
- Fix the migration of the special Guards Swords/Bow you are given to not incorrectly change its level.
