Brighter Shores is packed with all kinds of enemies, and Floor Tentacles are definitely among the trickiest. You will mostly run into these in mining areas like the Stalagmite Nook or the Stone Masonry Room, but one of the toughest spots is the Gassy Cave.
The Gassy Cave is part of the Mine of Mantuban, which you get to through the Grachnid Cave. It is filled with toxic gas and Floor Tentacles that can slow you down. Since this area is tied to some important quests, knowing how to get past the tentacles quickly can make a huge difference.

Last but not least, here are a few additional tips for dealing with floor tentacles:
- When moving through mining areas, try to stay one block away from the floor tentacles to avoid their slowdown effect.
- If you have any speed-boosting items or spells, use them to navigate past the tentacles quickly.
- Use fear potions or immunity if you have any.
- Plan your route beforehand. Planning your path through the area to avoid getting too close to the tentacles can be very helpful if you have not done it before.
