Introduction to Brighter Shores Professions

You begin your journey in Brighter Shores with all Professions starting at level 0, where each Profession has only a single task available. As you gain experience and level up, it can become increasingly challenging to determine which tasks are the most valuable and time-efficient. Our aim is to equip you with the knowledge to assess and calculate the most effective ways to level up each Profession, helping you make the best use of your time and resources.

List of Professions

At level 20, every Profession will unlock the opportunity to gain passive XP. You must use a Knowledge Point on the Profession passive activity when granted with a point.

Passive vs Active XP Gain

This video compares Passive XP vs Active XP in a combat Profession. It should help you understand the importance of spending Knowledge Points on XP instead of additional Passive XP categories.

Knowledge Points

By actively training you have gained 1 Knowledge Point! Choose a reward to spend it on. This is possibly the best sentence you can hear in Brighter Shores! You have the option to advance a Profession Passive XP method if the level requirement is met. If you prefer otherwise, you can convert your Knowledge Point to a lump sum of gold or XP!

Typically you should level up just one or two Passive XP methods and just continue to advance them when you can. Spend the rest of the points on the additional XP option. It doesn't benefit you to upgrade many different Passive XP methods as you can only ever do one at a time!

3.

Bounty Points

Bounties are available for two Professions. Chef and Merchant both use bounties as a way to earn additional XP and gold. Bounties will be located in the top right of your screen below your Professions tab. You can see where to start a new bounty by searching for the bounty icon on the map. We highly suggest you take advantage of the Bounty Board when trying to level up the Chef Profession.
