Leveling Glyphs
Your leveling glyphs are mostly the same as your endgame glyphs. Glyphs can be a huge boost to your DPS capabilities as some glyphs greatly improve the baseline power of your key abilities.
Prime Glyphs
Glyph of Moonfire — improves the periodic damage of
Moonfire by 20%.
Glyph of Insect Swarm — increases your
Insect Swarm damage by 30%.
Glyph of Wrath — this glyph increases your
Wrath damage by 10%, making for a full set of passive damage increasing glyphs.
Major Glyphs
Glyph of Thorns — you will be likely to fight many enemies at once while leveling in dungeons and world content, making
Thorns surprisingly strong for extra damage.
Glyph of Starfall — reduces the cooldown of
Starfall by 30 seconds, allowing you to do large area damage pulls more frequently.
Glyph of Monsoon — reduces the cooldown of
Typhoon by 3 seconds.
Minor Glyphs
Glyph of Mark of the Wild — reduces the Mana cost of
Mark of the Wild by 50% which makes it cheaper to cast when buffing someone recently resurrected.
Glyph of Unburdened Rebirth — removes the reagent requirement from
Rebirth, saving some gold over time.
Glyph of Dash — reduces the cooldown of
Dash by 20%, increasing your potential mobility in the process.
Leveling Rotation
Make sure to keep your party buffed with Mark of the Wild
and debuff bosses and other long lasting enemies with
Faerie Fire if there
are melee players in your group.
In single-target you will look towards the following priority:
- Use
Starfall in a position where you will not pull unwanted enemies;
- Cast
Starsurge on cooldown;
- Apply and refresh
Insect Swarm followed by
Moonfire;
- Apply and refresh
Moonfire;
- When not in an
Eclipse, work towards your next one by casting either
Starfire (for your first Eclipse) or
Wrath, with the spell you want to cast always being the same as the buffed spell of the Eclipse you mostly recently left.
For area-of-effect damage you will use a different rotation:
- Use
Starfall in a position where you will not pull unwanted enemies;
- Use
Starsurge and
Starfire until you enter Solar Eclipse;
- Apply and refresh
Insect Swarm followed by
Moonfire on all enemies;
- Apply and refresh
Moonfire on all enemies;
- Channel
Hurricane.
Abilities to Skip While Leveling
While leveling, you will not need to use all of your spells. Many can be skipped to save gold and trained at a later date, when you have more gold available to you. We recommend to not train these spells below, and save your gold for gear, glyphs and mounts instead.
Entangling Roots
Rake
Claw
Ferocious Bite
Demoralizing Roar
Swipe
Ravage
Thrash
