Blackwing Descent Raid Guides for Cataclysm Classic

Blackwing Descent can be found in the Blackrock Mountain, located in both Searing Gorge and Burning Steppes. Fly to the Eastern side of the mountain to the highest peaks and you will find a platform with the raids entrance.

The first part of Blackwing Descent contains both Magmaw and Omnotron Defense System, which can be fought in either order.

After traveling down the elevator, you'll find yourself in a circle arena area. This section of the instance contains the bosses Maloriak, Atramedes, Chimaeron, and Nefarian. Before facing Nefarian, you must defeat all previous bosses.

Blackwing Descent is a non-linear raid, allowing you to defeat all of the bosses except Nefarian in any order you desire. To be able to engage Nefarian, you must clear all 5 of the previous bosses before-hand.

Aberrant Behavior	Kill 12 Aberrations within 10 seconds on the Maloriak encounter in Blackwing Descent and then defeat Maloriak.
Heroic: Maloriak	Defeat Maloriak in Blackwing Descent on Heroic Difficulty.
Silence is Golden	Defeat Atramedes in Blackwing Descent without any raid member's sound bar going over 50%.

Full of Sound and Fury	Defeat Chimaeron in Blackwing Descent with no more than 2 raid member deaths.

Keeping it in the Family	Damage Nefarian below 50% health before he lands for the final confrontation and then defeat Nefarian in Blackwing Descent.

Realm First! Nefarian	First guild on the realm to defeat Nefarian in Blackwing Descent on Heroic difficulty while in a guild group.
