Dragon Soul Raid Guides for Cataclysm Classic

The Dragon Soul raid instance portal can be found in the Caverns of Time in Tanaris, near the Mount Hyjal raid instance. Here you will also find the three new dungeons also added to the game during phase four of Cataclysm.

The first part of Dragon Soul contains the first four bosses of the instance. Morchok will be the first up, then the raid must engage Warlord Zon'ozz and Yor'sahj the Unsleeping in whichever order you choose. Lastly you will face off against Hagara the Stormbinder at the top of Wyrmrest Temple as you fight to regain control of this dragon stronghold.

In this second half of the instance players will need to survive a deadly assault by Ultraxion, then take to the air to defeat Warmaster Blackhorn, clearing the skies and allowing your raid to finally engage Deathwing himself over two seperate encounters, Spine of Deathwing and Madness of Deathwing.

Dragon Soul is a mostly linear raid, requiring you to defeat all bosses in a specific order. The only exception for Dragon Soul is Warlord Zon'ozz and Yor'sahj the Unsleeping, which can be defeated in either order.

With a total of bosses, Dragon Soul has a wide quantity of loot available for players to earn. Below you can find all of the loot available in the raid, including trash loot, all on one page for easier viewing.

Achievement	Description
Chromatic Champion	Destroy Deathwing in Dragon Soul on Normal or Heroic Difficulty after beginning the encounter on each Aspect's platform:
Deck Defender	Defeat Warmaster Blackhorn on Normal or Heroic Difficulty without allowing any Twilight Barrages to damage the Skyfire.
Don't Stand So Close to Me	Defeat Morchok in Dragon Soul on Normal or Heroic Difficulty without any two players (three players on 25-player mode) ever being within 5 yards of each other while Morchok is channeling Black Blood of the Earth.
Holding Hands	Destroy the final Crystal Conductor during Hagara's lightning phase on Normal or Heroic Difficulty, while all raid members are part of the final Lightning Conduit.
Maybe He'll Get Dizzy...	Defeat the Spine of Deathwing encounter on Normal or Heroic Difficulty after tricking Deathwing into performing the following roll sequence: Left, Right, Left, Right.
Minutes to Midnight	Defeat Ultraxion in Dragon Soul on Normal or Heroic Difficulty without any raid member being hit by Hour of Twilight more than once.
Ping Pong Champion	Bounce the Void of Unmaking 10 times off of players, and then defeat Warlord Zon'ozz on Normal or Heroic Difficulty.
Taste the Rainbow!	Experience the following color combinations, and then defeat Yor'sahj the Unsleeping on Normal or Heroic Difficulty.
Siege of Wyrmrest Temple	Defeat the bosses laying siege to Wyrmrest Temple in the Dragon Soul raid.
Fall of Deathwing	Defeat the encounters leading up to the Fall of Deathwing in the Dragon Soul raid.
Destroyer's End	Defeat Deathwing on Normal or Heroic Difficulty in the Dragon Soul raid.
Dragon Soul Guild Run	Defeat the bosses in Dragon Soul while in a guild group.
Heroic: Morchok	Defeat Morchok in Dragon Soul on Heroic Difficulty.
Heroic: Warlord Zon'ozz	Defeat Warlord Zon'ozz in Dragon Soul on Heroic Difficulty.
