Cataclysm Classic Feral Druid Tank Enchants and Consumables

While it is easy to understand which Enchants, Gems, and Consumables you should use in Cataclysm, they also have an outsized impact on your performance, especially when doing hard content such as Heroic Raiding.

Below is a list of the optimal consumables and enchants to help you get the most out of your Feral Tank.

As a Feral tank, gemming is also very straightforward due to Thick Hide taking care of uncrittability on its own.

Thus, Austere Shadowspirit Diamond is the best meta gem, Fractured Cogwheel and Subtle Cogwheel are the best cogwheels if you are an Engineer, and you should use Solid Deepholm Iolite on all slots except two, which will have Puissant Elven Peridot to activate your meta gem.

Finally, remember to use an Ebonsteel Belt Buckle to unlock an extra gem slot on your belt.

Skewered Eel is the best food available for Feral tanks.

As a Feral tank, you will use either a Flask of Steelskin for extra Stamina, or Flask of the Winds for more Agility. Prismatic Elixir and Elixir of the Master are also a viable option for encounters with heavy magic damage but usually it is just preferable to stack raw Stamina against magic damage.

Earthen Potion can be used to add more survivability for a short time. You can also use Mythical Healing Potions to self-heal in emergencies.

If you have tanking downtime and healers are not available, consider using Dense Embersilk Bandage for even more emergency healing.

Leatherworkers can also use Greater Drums of Speed for an increase in group movement speed.
