Mage PvP Guides for Cataclysm Classic
Welcome to our Mage PvP guide for World of Warcraft Cataclysm.
The following pages will lead you through the basics of Mage PvP, displaying
all their strengths and weaknessnes. The guide will focus on Frost and Fire,
since Arcane is a non-viable spec for Mage PvP in Cataclysm.
Mage PvP Overview
Mages are a really popular
PVP class. Frost Mages shine with brilliant
crowd-control, burst damage and survivability, while
Fire
Mages are
more of a consistent dot based damage dealer in PVP.
Arcane Mages are not a viable
PVP spec for Mages, as their spec talent
Mana Adept relies on
being on full mana to do optimal damage. This, combined with a lacking
crowd-control toolkit and weak survivability, makes
Arcane
Mages a spec that is not really present in PVP.
Below are links to our guides specifically for
Frost and
Fire PvP. These guides cover
the optimal specializations, best gear, and useful tips and tricks
to help you maximize your character's performance in PvP scenarios.
