Strategy for Occu'thar

Occu'thar Strategy Occu'thar, much like the previous boss Baradin Hold boss Argaloth, is a rather simple fight with only a few mechanics to keep in mind. Following the picture, we want the raid to stack together behind Occu'thar, starting on either the blue or green circle. Whenever Occu'thar targets a player with Focused Fire Icon Focused Fire, the entire raid simply moves from their current circle to the other circle. The raid will need to do this movement throughout the entire encounter, frequently moving from circle to circle to avoid taking damage.

Occu'thar will also spawn in dozens of Eyes of Occu'thar Icon Eyes of Occu'thar, which damage nearby players and explode for raid-wide Shadow damage after 10 seconds. Killing these quickly needs to be the priority for all DPS players as too many AoE blasts hitting the raid will result in a wipe.

Tanks will need to deal with Searing Shadows Icon Searing Shadows, a frontal-cone Shadow breath that deals 102375 to 107625 Shadow damage to all players hit and increases their Shadow damage taken by 100% for 30 seconds. Tanks will need to be ready to quickly swap after each Searing Shadows Icon Searing Shadows and quickly get into position to avoid being hit by two Searing Shadows Icon Searing Shadows in a row.
