Cataclysm Classic Guide to Priest's Best Macros

The focus of this section is to show you some examples of some basic macros and explain how they work. A Macro is a line of commands that you can input into a text box that will execute the written commands in the order you have given them with a single button press.

These are general macros that all Priests can find useful regardless of the spec you are playing.

• Mouseover Macro

This macro is very useful for quickly casting helpful spells by simply mousing over a friendly target's body or unit frame. This makes casting spells such as Leap of Faith much simpler. Make sure to replace "Spell Name" with the spell you want to use in this macro.

• #showtooltip Spell Name
• /cast [@mouseover,help][] Spell Name

• Mass Dispel Macro

This instantly casts your Mass Dispel wherever your mouse cursor is hovering over instead of requiring you to select the area manually with your mouse. This is great whenever you need to quickly dispel friendly or enemy targets; just be sure you have your mouse hovering over the area you wish your Mass Dispel to hit.

• #showtooltip Mass Dispel
• /cast [@cursor] Mass Dispel

This macro easily allows you to cancel your Dispersion buff so you can get back to dealing damage if you no longer need the damage reduction buff.

• Cancel Dispersion:

• /stopcasting
• /cast Dispersion
• /cancelaura Dispersion
