Shadowfang Keep Dungeon Guide

Shadowfang Keep is found in Silverpine Forest on the Southwestern edge of the zone. Alliance players will need to fly to Hillsbrad Foothills first, or simply queue up for the dungeon.

Here we will give you a full rundown of what you can expect from each of the bosses found here on both Normal and Heroic difficulties as well as the items they drop.

• Asphyxiate

Shortly after being engaged, and periodically throughout the fight, Baron Ashbury will use Asphyxiate on the entire group. This will deal massive damage to the entire group, leaving everyone at 1 health. Immediately following Asphyxiate, Baron Ashbury will channel Stay of Execution, healing himself any anyone nearby every second. Allow 1 or 2 ticks of the heal to go off before interrupting to to prevent him from healing himself too much.

Be ready to also interrupt any Pain and Suffering casts as these can easily kill low health targets when the damage ramps up. Baron Ashbury will also cast Wracking Pain from time-to-time, dealing Shadow damage to all enemies and increasing their Shadow damage taken by 20% per stack. Lastly, at 25% health, he will cast Calamity, transforming, dealing Shadow damage to all enemies every second, and increasing all Shadow damage taken by targets by 1% per second. This can quickly lead to a wipe if you have low damage or you transition at 25% right after a Asphyxiate.

Baron Silverlaine will often use Summon Worgen Spirit, calling either Odo the Blindwatcher, Razorclaw the Butcher, Rethilgore, or Wolf Master Nandos to aid him in battle. Simply have the tank pick these Worgens up and continue to burn Baron Silverlaine down. If your tank gets debuffed with Veil of Shadow, quickly dispel it as it reduces healing received by 75%.

Commander Springvale starts of with a Wailing Guardsman and Tormented Officer at his side, and will frequently call in 2 more to aid him throughout the fight. These adds need to be focused down quickly before they buff the boss with Unholy Empowerment. Commander Springvale himself will use Desecration on a random target, which must be moved out of quickly.

When Commander Springvale reaches 3 stacks of Unholy Empowerment either through the adds or from Malefic Strike, he will use one of two abilities. Shield of the Perfidious will blast a cone attack in front of him, dealing high Shadow damage to all targets in the area. Word of Shame will debuff a random target, dealing 5% of their health every 3 seconds until the end of the fight.

Lord Walden will be constantly casting either Conjure Poisonous Mixture or Conjure Frost Mixture, giving him a vial that he will throw at random throughout the fight. Be aware of these projectiles and quickly move away from them. He will also throw out Ice Shards all over the room, avoid being in their indicated landing locations. Sometimes he will instead cast a Conjure Mystery Toxin, creating either a Green Mixture or a Red Mixture. If it's a Green Mixture, players must keep moving; if it's a Red Mixture, players must not move.

Start the fight by pulling Lord Godfrey down into the bottom of the room. He will frequently use Summon Bloodthirsty Ghouls to call multiple Bloodthirsty Ghouls to aid him in combat. After summoning these ghouls, Lord Godfrey will cast Pistol Barrage, dealing high damage to all targets in a cone in front of him. The tank should try to drag the Bloodthirsty Ghouls into the Pistol Barrage to quickly kill them. Lastly, interrupt the Cursed Bullets casts as these deal high Shadow damage to random targets.

Starting in Cataclysm, dungeon quests are found directly inside the dungeon and have no quest chains required. This means you can simply queue up for the dungeon and grab all of the available quests inside without needing to complete long-winded, complicated quest chains! The following quests are found inside the dungeon:

3. Fighting Tooth and Claw / Orders Are For the Living
4. Fury of the Pack / Sweet, Merciless Revenge

Achievement	Description
Bullet Time	Defeat 12 Bloodthirsty Ghouls with Pistol Barrage and then defeat Lord Godfrey in Shadowfang Keep on Heroic Difficulty.
Pardon Denied	Defeat Baron Ashbury without letting him heal with Stay of Execution in Shadowfang Keep on Heroic Difficulty.
To the Ground!	Defeat Commander Springvale without allowing him to receive Unholy Empowerment in Shadowfang Keep on Heroic Difficulty.
Shadowfang Keep	Defeat Lord Godfrey.
Heroic: Shadowfang Keep	Defeat Lord Godfrey in Shadowfang Keep on Heroic Difficulty.
Heroic: Shadowfang Keep Guild Run	Defeat Lord Godfrey in Shadowfang Keep on Heroic difficulty while in a guild group.
