Throne of the Tides Dungeon Guide
Throne of Tides is an aquatic-themed dungeon located in the Abyssal Depths in Vashj'ir. It's a sprawling underwater labyrinth filled with winding passages and flooded chambers where players will be confronted by numerous water-based enemies, such as Nagas, Sea Giants, Murlocs, and more.
Throne of the Tides Entrance Location
Throne of the Tides is found in the Vashj'ir subzone, Abyssal depths. Here you will need to swim through the Abyssal Breach and make your way North until you run into the dungeon entrance.
Overview of Bosses in Throne of the Tides
Here we will give you a full rundown of what you can expect from each of the bosses found here on both Normal and Heroic difficulties as well as the items they drop.
Lady Naz'jar
-
Summon Geyser
Fungal Spores
Waterspout
Shock Blast
- Naz'jar Honor Guard
Arc Slash
Enrage
- Naz'jar Tempest Witch
Chain Lightning
Lightning Surge
Spread out when engaging Lady Naz'jar as she has multiple AoE
abilities. Dispel the Fungal Spores disease debuff if possible,
and be ready to move out of any
Summon Geysers placed on the ground
under your feet. She will also often attack the tank with
Shock Blast, dealing deadly Nature damage; interrupt this as much
as possible. When Lady Naz'jar reaches 60% and 30% health
she will channel
Waterspout, making her immune to all attacks
and spells.
During this 1-minute cast, 1 Naz'jar Honor Guard and 2
Naz'jar Tempest Witchs will spawn in and attack players. These much
be either crowd controlled or quickly killed as they are very dangerous. Focus
down the Naz'jar Tempest Witchs first, interrupting them as much as
possible and dispelling the Lightning Surge, or running away from your allies when
they use it. Avoid being in front of the Naz'jar Honor Guard as it
cleaves targets with
Arc Slash.

Commander Ulthok
Commander Ulthok will frequently attack a target in front of him with
Dark Fissure, spawning a void zone that slowly grows over time.
Players must quickly move out of these void zones, including the tank, and
position the boss in a safer area. Random players will also get debuffed with
Curse of Fatigue, slowing their movement speed down greatly, and
can get stunned by
Squeeze for 6-seconds.

Mindbender Ghur'sha
-
Phase One
- Erunak Stonespeaker
Emberstrike
Magma Splash
Lava Bolt
Earth Shards
- Phase Two
- Mindbender Ghur'sha
Absorb Magic
Mind Fog
Unrelenting Agony
Enslave
This is a short, two phase fight where you start off by engaging with
Erunak Stonespeaker. He will shoot Earth Shards at
random targets current location, causing spikes to quickly move towards them;
move away from these and do not be in their path either. Avoid the frontal AoE
damage from
Magma Splash and be sure to dispel any debuffs during
this phase. At 50% health Mindbender Ghur'sha will be released
from Erunak Stonespeaker and will
Enslave a party
member. Your group must DPS that player down to 50% health as well to
again release Mindbender Ghur'sha, allowing you to finally defeat it.
Avoid any clouds summoned by
Mind Fog as they will prevent you from
attacking or casting spells.

Ozumat

Phase One

- Vicious Mindlasher
Shadow Bolt
Brain Spike
- Unyielding Behemoth
Shadow Blast
Blight Spray
- Phase Two

- Phase Three

Tidal Surge
The Ozumat fight is unique, having you mostly focus on dealing with
adds before facing the sea kraken himself. During the first phase you will
fight waves of Deep Murloc Invaders, which should be simply AoE'd down quickly.
The Vicious Mindlashers should be interrupted whenever possible to stop
their Brain Spike mana burn; and Unyielding Behemoth should be
focused down quickly and stunned as much as often as you are able. After killing
enough adds, phase two will start.
Phase two consists of killing the 3 Faceless Sappers around the
room. While in this phase, a Blight Beast will periodically spawn in
and move slowly towards their target. These should be picked up by a tank and
kited as they move very slow and hit rather hard. Once all 3
Faceless Sappers are killed, the third and final phase starts. In this
phase players are buffed with Tidal Surge, increasing health and
healing by 500%, and damage dealt by 2000%. This allows you to
quickly dispatch Ozumat in this phase as he has a much higher HP pool
than an average dungeon boss.
