Season 32 Theme: Ethereal Memory — All You Need To Know
Season 32 reintroduces the Ethereals, which are rare and powerful items reimagined for this season of Diablo III! You will be able to hunt for 21 iconic weapons known from Diablo II.
Here are some of the most important things you should know about Ethereals:
- They are account-bound.
- Ethereals can only drop from monsters, chests, or destructibles. You cannot acquire any through Kanai's Cube or from Kadala.
- Your character does not have to be Level 70 in order to drop Ethereals.
- Ethereal sets will now drop in Ancient or Primal rarity.
- Every class has 3 unique Ethereals. Each one has fixed affixes and rolls one random Legendary Weapon power and one random Class Passive Skill.
- Ethereal sets drop in Ancient or Primal rarity.
- You can only equip one Ethereal at the same time.
- Ethereals do not lose durability.
- Legendary Powers and Class Passive Skills rolled on Ethereals do not stack with the same power equipped through Kanai's Cube, Items, or Skills.
- Ethereals cannot be enchanted, transmogrified, dyed, reforged, or traded.
- Ethereals can be augmented.
- Collecting all 21 Ethereals during the season will reward you with the Feat of Strength, Ethereal Recollection, and all Ethereal transmogrify options for future seasonal and non-seasonal characters.
- Ethereals only drop during the season and will not transfer to your non-seasonal character when the season ends.
Beyond the quick season theme above, we also have a comprehensive Ethereal Mechanics Guide, where we go in-depth over this season's theme mechanic. So, if you are interested in the particulars of Ethereals, make sure to check it out.
