This page goes over the current state of each class in Season 33 in respect to their best group RGK build capabilities and provides comparative ranking of the builds.

Top Group Rift Guardian Killer Builds for each Class

For most 4-player group compositions, the DPS roles are split into two forms: AoE and single target. The AoE DPS is in charge of clearing the rift through maximizing area damage and huge density pulls while the single target dps is known as the RGK, or rift guardian killer. Because the damage styles are so unique, you usually have to separate them into two different DPS for optimal results. Here is the list of the best RGK builds for each class.

1.1.

Barbarian

For most RGK builds, having a fast attack speed is critical to maximize your use of Bane of the Stricken Bane of the Stricken for the stacking DPS gain. The HotN Savage Frenzy Barb is one of the prime examples of that. This Barbarian build boasts one of the fastest attack speeds of any build, decimating single enemies that it can build stacks on. While not the best RGK overall, it is still the top Barb RGK build.

1.2.

Crusader

The Thorns of the Invoker set unlocks a powerful, retaliation-based playstyle with what used to be the laughing stock of stats, Thorns. Its single target capabilities propel it to a viable, if not optimal, Rift Guardian Killer spec.

1.3.

Demon Hunter

Demon Hunter is a strong early class for RGK builds, but will fall off later on. Thanks to some nice buffs this season, the Impale Demon Hunter is poised to once again be a strong choice for some group compositions, but will especially shine in the early days of the season as they experience an extremely early power spike. You now also have the option of creating an Impale DH build using the strafe class power, giving rise to some interesting possibilities.

1.4.

Monk

Monks received substantial changes in Season 24, but not this season. That being said, Monks are still in possible the strongest spot out of any class for overall builds. The Inna Mystic Ally Monk build has given Monks a minion-based build of sorts that has some insane pushing potential as well, and is a capable RGK.

1.5.

Necromancer

The Bones of Rathma set provides a Revive- and Army of the Dead-centric playstyle that uses the power of your necromantic posse to reset an otherwise humongous cooldown, and turn it into a steady stream of nukes that envelop and control the battlefield. Its ability for concentrated fire turns it into an excellent Rift Guardian Killer build.

1.6.

Witch Doctor

Thanks to a complete rework in Season 25, the Arachyr set is looking extremely promising for Witch Doctors. While not an optimal choice for RGK picks overall, it still has exceptional single target power, and is your best option as a Witch Doctor combined with some incredibly utility.

1.7.

Wizard

Leaning into the summoner Wizard fantasy, the Typhon Hydra build relies on a combination of ramping attacks and pet empowerment to fuel a simple, yet very flashy and capable playstyle with The Typhon's Veil set. The Hydras' insane Attack Speed enables RGK potential for this build.
