What are Altars of Lilith?
Altars of Lilith are small stone statues of Lilith that are peppered throughout the world of Sanctuary, typically in semi-hidden locations, off the main path. There are between 28 and 34 Altars in each of the five zones in Diablo 4, and as we will see, finding them all is a worthwhile endeavour!
Clicking an Altar of Lilith will provide all characters on your account with a one-time bonus, out of the following list:
- +2 Strength
- +2 Dexterity
- +2 Intelligence
- +2 Willpower
- +5 Maximum Obol Capacity
- +1 Paragon Point
The Altars have fixed locations in each of the five zones, with each Altar having a pre-determined bonus. Moreover, clicking an Altar also rewards you with a small amount of experience.
Interaction with Renown
Altars of Lilith have a close interaction with the Renown system. Each zone’s Renown progression requires you to find and click the Altars that are present in that zone (with each Altar rewarding +10 Renown).
While finding all the Altars is not necessary for completing a zone’s Renown, given that these offer a permanent power boost to all characters on your account, it is generally a good idea to collect them all!
Finding Altars of Lilith
Finding all the Altars of Lilith in a given zone is not a simple matter of walking (or riding, if you’re lucky enough to have a mount) around until you find them. While you will inevitably stumble upon some of them in the course of your adventures, the vast majority are neatly tucked away at the end of obscure corridors, partly hidden by trees or other objects, or generally inaccessible.
They are always found outside of zones of major interest, as well. For example, they will never be near the entrance of a Dungeon or a Cellar, nor in the area of an event that is happening on the map.
Fortunately, we have prepared a complete map with the location of all the Altars of Lilith for each zone in Diablo 4. Behold:
