Spiritborn Class Mechanic – Spirit Hall Choice
The Spirit Hall lets you combine two different Spirit Guardians or stick with one. For this build, we go with a mix of guardians that balance mobility and damage.
- Primary Spirit Guardian: Eagle
- Casting an Eagle Skill grants 4 seconds of the Storm Feathers Movement Speed bonus. When you Evade, fling up to 8 Storm Feathers for every remaining second, each dealing 125% Lightning damage and making targets Vulnerable for 5 seconds. All Skills are now also Eagle Skills.
- Secondary Spirit Guardian: Jaguar
- Maximum Ferocity is increased by 1. Gain 1 stack of Ferocity whenever you kill an enemy or damage a Boss.
Gear, Stats, Gems, and Runes
The following sections cover all systems that are important if you want to improve the power of your character in the endgame of Diablo 4.
Legendary Aspects
Each Aspect is listed with its matching gear slot. Do your best to keep each Aspect in the assigned slot. Remember to salvage Legendary Items with higher Aspect values to unlock them in the Codex of Power, and then imprint them onto gear pieces with the preferred affixes. For best results, combine these Aspects with the right stat priorities.
Gear Slot | Gems/Runes | Aspect / Unique | Legendary Aspect / Unique Power |
---|---|---|---|
Helm | ![]() | ![]() | Gain 20% Damage Reduction. in addition, gain +4 ranks to all Skills. |
Chest | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | Spending Vigor Heals you for 5-10% of your Maximum Life. Every second, your active Cooldowns now drain 10% of your Maximum Life to reduce their durations by 2 seconds. |
Gloves | ![]() | Casting a Gorilla Skill increases your Weapon Damage by [10-30%] of your Armor for 3 seconds. Maximum 1500 bonus Weapon Damage. | |
Pants | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | You gain 0.4-0.8% increased Armor for 4 seconds when you deal any form of damage, stacking up to 25-40%. |
Boots | ![]() | When you cast a Skill with a Cooldown, you explode, dealing X Fire damage. | |
Amulets(50% bonus) | ![]() | ![]() | Picking up a Storm Feather forms a firestorm around you for 8 seconds dealing X Fire damage every 0.5 seconds. Storm Feathers are now a Jaguar Skill. Every 5 additional Storm Feathers you pick up intensifies the firestorm, increasing its damage by x100% but not refreshing its duration. Storm Feathers are now Jaguar Skills, and the firestorm is an Eagle, Jaguar, and Storm Feather Skill. |
Ring | ![]() | ![]() | Casting a Focus Skill recalls all Nearby Storm Feathers, dealing [75 – 96] Lightning damage to enemies along their way. If there are no Nearby Storm Feathers, the cast instead spawns 10 randomly around you. |
Ring | ![]() | ![]() | Moving with a Mobility Skill or Evade drops Spirit Feathers along you which each deal X Lightning damage on impact. |
Weapon (200% bonus) | ![]() | ![]() | Gain increased Critical Strike Damage equal [30-70%] of Block Chance. Blocking doubles this bonus for 10 seconds. |

Stat Priority and Tempering Affixes
Affixes on the same line are considered to be equally important. Bolded affixes are the most important targets for Masterworking upgrades. Be sure to check our Tempering and Masterworking guides for more details about these topics. Want to jump back up to the gear table?
Slot | Targeted Gear Affix | Tempering Affixes |
---|---|---|

Prioritize capping all of your Resistances, and make sure to reach the Armor Cap of 1,000. Certain builds that scale with armor may benefit from having more of it. For instance, those that make use of the Aspect of Unyielding Hits. Furthermore, in higher difficulties, there will be a penalty to armor and resistance, so you will need a higher amount to compensate for the loss.

Uniques and Mythic Uniques
Below, you will find information on Uniques and Mythic Uniques that are useful and recommended for this build. If a Unique or Mythic Unique is not listed here, it is NOT recommended and won’t benefit this specific build in any way.
Uniques
This Firestorm Evade Spiritborn build requires some Uniques to work:
Jacinth Shell (required): Spending Vigor Heals you for 5-10% of your Maximum Life. Every second, your active Cooldowns now drain 10% of your Maximum Life to reduce their durations by 2 seconds.
Sunbird’s Gorget (required): Picking up a Storm Feather forms a firestorm around you for 8 seconds dealing X Fire damage every 0.5 seconds.
Rakanoth’s Wake (recommended): When you cast a Skill with a Cooldown, you explode, dealing X Fire damage.
Mythic Uniques
This Spiritborn build does not require any Mythic Uniques to work! However, it is recommended to get the following Mythic Unique for optimal damage output:
Harlequin Crest (recommended): Gain 20% Damage Reduction. In addition, gain +4 Ranks to all Skills.
If you are interested in target farming Mythic Uniques, check out our How to Farm Mythic Uniques guide. Or you can return to the Build Requirements.

Build Mechanics
Rotation and Playstyle
This Firestorm Spiritborn build is fast, powerful, and easy to play. Jacinth Shell gives you cooldown reduction, letting you use
Ravager, which triggers
Aspect of Recalling Feathers boosting your
Sunbird’s Gorget‘s Firestorm damage.
Picking up Storm Feathers is a core mechanic of this build; the more you collect, the stronger your Sunbird’s Gorget Firestorm becomes.
Aspect of Falling Feathers further increases this damage.
Thunderspike is cast when you Evade and keep moving.
Scourge helps with crowd control by fearing and slowing enemies.
Your general combat flow looks like this:
- Evade.
Ravager
The Hunter gives you more mobility and buffs your skills.
Armored Hide, grants Unstoppable and solid defense.
Scourge, use it on big packs to enable Fear and increase your damage.
- Spam Evade, make sure
Ravager is up, and trigger more and more storm feathers.
- Pick up the feathers, and ramp up your damage with your firestorm.
Runeword Synergy
Another interesting interaction worth mentioning within this section comes from the Runewords we use in this build to trigger powerful effects.
- Bac Tzic:
Bac gives you 50 Offering every time you travel 5 meters.
Tzic then spends 200 Offering to trigger
Concussive Stomp, dealing damage and Knocking Down enemies. By simply moving around during fights, you naturally build Offering and can stun and do more area damage.
- Cem Que:
Cem grants 75 Offering every time you Evade.
Que uses 300 Offering to cast
Earthen Bulwark, giving you a Barrier. This combo makes your mobility double as defense: dodging attacks by moving around will keep your shield uptime high. Having a barrier will also increase your damage thanks to
Sunbird’s Gorget.
Which Elixirs Should You Use?
Visit the Alchemist to craft a Resistance Elixir based on what you need most, or pick from the recommended options below. Some Elixirs only drop from Helltides or Nightmare Dungeons. Also, do not forget to keep your health potion upgraded.
Elixir of Precision provides the highest damage output increase.
Elixir of Advantage increases your attack speed
Elixir of Resourcefulness helps with resource issues, if you struggle with resource management
Elixir of Fortitude for additional survivability
