Quick Reference Campaign Leveling Guide Act 3

1. Guide Format

This guide has been organized by the main quest acts that players can choose from in Diablo 4, so that it is easy to follow the optimal path for leveling, and questing.

2. Act 3 Guide

1. Ensure your character is at least Level 15.

The Spreading Darkness

2. Head south to the next zone, Dry Steppes.
3. Pick up the Farobru Waypoint on your way.
4. Make your way to Ked Bardu on the western side of the map.
5. Pick up the Ked Bardu waypoint.
6. Find Lorath and speak with Daruuk.
7. Wake up the drunk Lorath.
8. Go slightly east to talk to a woman named Teckrin.
9. Report back to Lorath and choose between exploring the Canyons (Whittling Sanity) or investigating the Orbei Monastery (Suffering Disquiet).

Suffering Disquiet

10. Head south to the Orbei Monastery.
11. Enter the monastery and listen to the message on the Slain Monk if desired.
12. Follow the path until you reach a dead Sister named Martina.
13. Pick up the Crusader Skull from her body and use it to open the door behind her.
14. Continue through the monastery, speak with the surviving Monk, and defeat the phantoms.
15. Reach the locked door with a healing well and find the three locations indicated on the map.
16. Learn the three Secret Litanies and return to the door to open it.
17. Inside the Archives, speak with the Abbot and defeat the boss Eidolon of Orbei.
18. Collect the items, including the Gospel of the Mother.

Whittling Sanity

19. Talk to Lorath in Abahru Canyon.
20. Head east and locate a Hell Rift in the middle of the area.
21. Protect Lorath while he closes the Rift.
22. Follow the path north until you reach a house.
23. Look for clues inside the house, interact with the demonic scroll, page from Genbar’s journal, broken carvings, and a slain mercenary.
24. Wait for Lorath to reach the statue and interact with him.
25. Head left through the door, then northwest to reach Genbar.
26. Speak with Genbar to start a boss battle against Genbar the Shrine Keeper.
27. Defeat Genbar and speak with Lorath at the shrine.

A Moment to Collect

28. Meet Lorath in Ked Bardu.
29. Follow Lorath inside the building and interact with the medallion.

Brought Low

30. Head southeast to reach the city of Guulrahn.
31. Unlock the Hidden Overlook Waypoint.
32. Speak to Lorath at the Hidden Overlook.
33. Climb down the cliff where Lorath was standing to enter Guulrahn.

The City of Blood and Dust

34. Navigate through the streets of the city, defeating enemies along the way.
35. Make your way to the marketplace.
36. Traverse rooftops and reach a young woman screaming.
37. Save her and speak to her.
38. Slide down to the lower level and follow the path to the Gate House.
39. Defeat the Gorger inside the small gap on the right and interact with the Gate control to open the prison gates.
40. Proceed through the gate, defeat the Jailer, and find Oyuun.
41. Speak to Oyuun, follow him outside, and return to the Trail of Bones.

Small Blessings

42. Speak with Oyuun outside and then speak with Lorath.

Whispers from the Past

43. Follow the path to the nearby cavern and speak with Lorath.
44. Enter the Offal Pits and make your way to a hidden alcove that resembles a big door.
45. Interact with Lorath and follow Oyuun’s instructions to open the door.
46. Climb the ladder and head left into the crack in the wall.
47. Interact with Lorath from the other side.
48. Continue along the path until you reach a door that leads to the palace.
49. Keep following the path until you reach the Tyrant’s Court.
50. Enter Elias’s Throne room and defeat the boss Mother’s Judgment.
51. Open the sealed door, investigate Elias’s Sanctum, and share your findings with Lorath.
52. Follow the path behind the bookcase to exit the place and speak with Lorath at the overlook.

Through the Dark Glass

53. Reach Mt. Civo on the right side of Ked Bardu.
54. Unlock Fate’s Retreat Waypoint.
55. Speak with Lorath and locate the Shrines of Mephisto, Baal, and Diablo.
56. Interact with the Altar of Destruction at Baal’s shrine.
57. Proceed to Diablo’s shrine and interact with the Altar of Terror.
58. Finally, reach Mephisto’s Shrine, interact with the Altar of Hatred, and take the portal that appears.
59. Defeat the enemies inside the realm and speak to the wolf.
60. Return through the portal and head to the temple entrance south of you.
61. Speak with Lorath.

Descent Into Flame

62. Enter the temple of Primes with Lorath.
63. Follow the path on the right, climbing down whenever possible.
64. Reach a door and enter the Hall of Hatred.
65. Make your way through the dungeon and defeat the large enemy guarding the large door.
66. Proceed through the door and continue until you overlook the ritual site.
67. Speak with Lorath, climb down, and fight the boss Brol, The Tyrant King.
68. Defeat Brol, pick up the loot, and head back through the door.
69. Speak with the woman, then speak with Lorath.

Loose Threads

70. Return to Lorath and speak with the woman.

Oasis of Memories

71. Travel to Tarsarak south of your current location, unlock the Jirandai Waypoint on your way.
72. Unlock Tarsarak waypoint and talk to the people in town to find a guide.
73. Head down to Riverbank and locate the old man.
74. Enter the building in Argentek Riverbank and interact with the man behind the counter.
75. Proceed through the door in the back and interact with the old man named Meshif.

Flesh from Bone

76. Meet Lorath and Meshif at the Forsaken Chapel.
77. Speak with Lorath and Meshif.
78. Begin the journey through the sandstorm with Meshif.
79. Stick close to Meshif and fight off enemies along the way.
80. Reach the Outer Gardens.

Beneath the Mask

81. Speak with Meshif.
82. Enter the front door and make your way through the dungeon.

Piercing the Veil

83. Ignore the nobles in the dungeon.
84. Take the stairs to the inner garden and speak with the noble in front of the big door.
85. Head inside the room, interact with Elias, and start a boss battle.
86. Defeat Elias and interact with the blood petals.
87. Follow Elias through the door and defeat him again.
88. Continue through the next door and listen to the Gospel of the Mother shrine.
89. Head left through the inner gardens and reach the Halls of the Master.
90. Encounter Elias once more and defeat him in a proper fight.
91. Speak with Lorath.

Exhumed Relics

92. Bid farewell to Meshif and return to the Chapel.
93. Interact with Lorath to conclude Act 3.
