Slay Goblins, Get Rewards!

Diablo 4 players have always enjoyed the Midwinter Blight event during the festive season. However, this year, Diablo is celebrating the holidays with a new festive event: the Slay Ride to Hell! Running from December 17, 2024, at 10 AM PST to January 2, 2025, at 10 AM PST, this limited-time event brings plenty of Treasure Goblins and exclusive rewards to Sanctuary, and even more for Vessel of Hatred owners.

Treasure Goblins will appear in higher numbers across the world, carrying loot that is up for the taking! Among the usual Ancestral and Unique items, you can also earn original, event-exclusive cosmetics. Additionally, the event features a tiered reward system based on the global number of Treasure Goblins slain!

Event Overview

• Duration: December 17, 2024, to January 2, 2025.
• Objective: Slay Treasure Goblins across Sanctuary to unlock tiered rewards.
• Rewards: Limited-time cosmetics, boosts, and other exclusives, including a Resplendent Spark for the final tier.

How the Event Works

The goal of this winter event is simple: slay as many Treasure Goblins as possible. All players across Sanctuary will have to work together to hit five global goblin-slaying milestones, with rewards tied to each tier.

• Global Milestones: The community must collectively slay goblins to unlock rewards up to five tiers.
• Exclusive Cosmetics: Festive cosmetics can be unlocked by reaching Tier 3-5.

Where to Find Goblins

Treasure Goblins will appear in greater numbers throughout Sanctuary, so keep your eyes open while exploring!

For players who own Vessel of Hatred, even more goblins will spawn and can be hunted down in Nahantu, along with additional rewards. If you buy the expansion during the event, you will gain retroactive access to these extra goblin hunts and reward caches.

Once milestones are unlocked, you can visit the Goblin Square in Kyovashad to claim your rewards!

Reward Tiers

The rewards for the event are tied to five tiers of global goblin-slaying milestones. Each tier unlocks a cache of rewards, which can be claimed from the Goblin Square.

Some rewards are exclusive to Vessel of Hatred owners (marked with **). Here is a preview of the tiers:

• Tier 1: Goblin Bag – 5,000,000 Goblins slain across Sanctuary
  • Legendary Weapons cache (includes 3 Ancestral Legendary Items with a guaranteed Greater Affix)
  • 1 Legendary Rune and 2 Random runes – Exclusive the Vessel of Hatred Owners
  • Random Undercity Tribute – Exclusive the Vessel of Hatred Owners
• Tier 2: Goblin Bag – 10,000,000 Goblins slain across Sanctuary
  • Unique and Legendary Weapons cache (includes three Ancestral Legendary items and one Ancestral Unique all with a guaranteed Greater Affix)
  • Random Undercity Tribute – Exclusive the Vessel of Hatred Owners
  • 1 Legendary Rune, 3 random Runes – Exclusive the Vessel of Hatred Owners
• Tier 3: Greater Goblin Bag – 15,000,000 Goblins slain across Sanctuary
  • Fruit of the Harvest Mount Trophy
  • Unique Weapons (includes three Ancestral Legendary items and two Ancestral Uniques all with a guaranteed Greater Affix)
  • 5 Undercity Tributes of Radiance (United) – Exclusive the Vessel of Hatred Owners
  • 2 Legendary Runes, 3 random Runes – Exclusive the Vessel of Hatred Owners
• Tier 4: Greater Goblin Bag – 25,000,000 Goblins slain across Sanctuary
  • Harvest Mare’s Totem Mount Trophy
  • 3 Ancestral Uniques (all with a guaranteed Greater Affix)
  • 6 Runes (3 Legendary, 2 Rare, 1 random) – Exclusive the Vessel of Hatred Owners
  • Citadel Coin – Exclusive the Vessel of Hatred Owners
• Tier 5: Mythic Goblin Bag – 40,000,000 Goblins slain across Sanctuary
  • 1 Resplendent Spark
  • Harvest Mare’s Barding Mount Armor
  • 3 Ancestral Uniques, 8 Ancestral Legendary Items all with a guaranteed Greater Affix
  • 8 Runes (5 Legendary, 2 Rare, 1 random) – Exclusive the Vessel of Hatred Owners
  • 3 Tributes of Ascendance (United) – Exclusive the Vessel of Hatred Owners
  • 5 Tributes of Radiance (United) – Exclusive the Vessel of Hatred Owners
  • 20,000 Citadel Coin – Exclusive the Vessel of Hatred Owners

How to Claim Rewards

To collect any unlocked rewards:

• Visit the Goblin Square in Kyovashad to claim reward caches.
• Check the in-game shop for free cosmetics that unlock after Tiers 3-5.

Time Is of the Essence!

The Slay Ride to Hell event ends on January 2, 2025, so make sure you participate while you can. Once it is over, all the exclusive rewards will no longer be available!

Additional Information

• Mother’s Blessing Buff: During the event, the Mother’s Blessing buff will be active, granting increased experience and gold gains.
• Winback Booster: Use the Winback Booster in the Eternal Realm for an instant boost to Level 50, which includes Legendary Items and powerful builds.
• Spiritborn Class: The Spiritborn class introduced in the Vessel of Hatred expansion will be playable for free until Level 25 during the event.
