Urivar is a Lair Boss with his own unique loot pool. To earn rewards, you will need to defeat him while managing several mechanics. You can adjust the world tier in town to make the fight easier or more challenging. Higher Torment difficulty will reward you with better drops.
How to Summon Urivar
To open Urivar’s treasure after his defeat, you will need 12 Judicator’s Mask, which drop from various endgame open-world content such as Helltides, World Bosses, or Whispers.
Urivar is part of the Vessel of Hatred expansion and can only be challenged if you own it.
Once you have enough, head to the Fields of Judgement dungeon, located in the upper-left region of Nahantu. You can travel directly to the dungeon by right-clicking. Make your way through the short dungeon, and at the end, you will find an altar where you can summon Urivar. You will need the Judicator’s Masks to loot the reward chest after the fight.

Preparations
- Stack Fire and Lightning Resistance: Make sure your Fire and Lightning Resistance are as high as possible. Knights in this encounter deal mostly elemental damage, so consider boosting your Max Resistance with
Elixir of Fire Resistance II and
Elixir of Lightning Resistance II.
- Play a Build You Trust: Bring a build with strong area-of-effect control and survivability. If unsure, check out our Boss Tier list for suggestions.
Boss Mechanics
Urivar and his knights deal a mix of Fire, Lightning, and Physical damage. Like most Lair bosses, he has a Stagger Bar; filling it will stun the boss temporarily, giving you a free damage window.
During the fight, in addition to his default attacks, Urivar has a few mechanics to watch for:
- Surrounding Knights: At the edge of the arena, knights circle you. Avoid running into them, as they will spear you and knock you back toward the center.

- Aerial Spear Attack: Spears rain down around you in rapid succession. Yellow circles will briefly appear under your feet before impact. Keep moving in a circular pattern to force the spears to land behind you until the barrage ends.

- Fire Lanes: Shield-bearing knights slam their shields into the ground, creating straight lanes of fire between them. Avoid stepping into these fiery zones.

- Urivar’s Sword Slam: Urivar raises his sword and slams it into the floor, creating a glowing arrow-shaped pattern. Step out of the pattern immediately and position yourself behind him. The marked zone persists for a few seconds before disappearing.

- Urivar’s Light Bridge: Urivar channels a glowing bridge of light that connects him to your position. While active, he tracks your movement and calls the summoned spears down onto your location. Use defensive skills (like immunity or shields) and stay on the move to dodge the impact zones.

- Knights Fight (50% Phase): At 50% HP, Urivar vanishes and summons the surrounding knights to fight for him. They enter the battle gradually. Stay efficient and avoid getting overwhelmed. The knights use fire circles, fire bombs, lightning balls, and will try to spear you.

- Spears Landing: Near the end of the fight, spears begin to rain across the entire arena. Yellow circles show where they will land. Avoid standing near the center. This zone receives the most damage when Urivar summons the spears to him. Stay on the outer edge while also dodging the circling knights.

Loot Table
To get your loot, you will need to use the required materials to open the reward chest or hoard after the fight. The first Unique dropped is guaranteed to come from the boss-specific loot table below. Any additional Uniques have a 50% chance to come from the general Unique pool instead.
If you are playing in a group, each additional party member increases the chance of an extra Unique dropping by 33%.
In addition, Urivar also drops Abhorrent Heart, which is required to summon Harbinger of Hatred.
The loot table will be added when confirmed.
Belial Ambush Encounter
After defeating a Lair Boss, there is a small chance that Belial will ambush you. This unexpected encounter brings its own set of challenges, as Belial uses a mix of Blood and Poison magic that you will need to avoid.
Defeating this smaller form of Belial will grant you a second round of loot from the Lair Boss you just killed, without requiring any additional materials. He will also drop the Betrayer’s Husk, the item needed to challenge Belial’s Exalted Lair Boss form.
