All Necromancer Changes in Season 5 Patch Detailed

Necromancers have some pretty cool changes lined up in the Season 5 patch and we’ve datamined them all!

For instance, Golems will leap to an area and hulk-smash enemies in the latest patch. Additionally, Necromancers will be able to use All Maces and Axes, as Blizzard has lifted many class restrictions on weapons and looked into inherent affixes on weapons and updated them.

Below, you will find all class changes for Necromancers slated for the upcoming patch. Green changes are what’s new whereas old values are highlighted in red.

Necromancer Aspect Changes in Season 5

Necromancers have received some aspect adjustments and a handful of new affixes in the latest patch!

  • Aspect Of The Great Feast (New)Your Minions deal 45% increased damage, but each one drains 1 Essence from you per second. If you have no active Minions, the damage increase applies to you instead, and you lose 7 Essence per second.
  • Aspect Of The Cursed Aura (New)You automatically Curse enemies around you with Decrepify and Iron Maiden. Curses inflicted this way spread to surrounding targets every 0.3 seconds and last 4 seconds outside of the aura.
  • Shademist Aspect (New)Your Minions deal 0% of Weapon Damage Shadow damage per second to enemies around them. The damage over time lasts for 5.0 seconds after leaving the aura.
  • Aspect Of Frenzied Dead – Each time one of your Summoning Minions damages an enemy, they gain 18% Attack Speed for 3 seconds, up to 53%.
  • Aspect Of Empowering Reaper – Damaging enemies with Sever has a 25% 30% chance to spawn a pool of Blight under the target that deals 100% 120% bonus damage. This effect can only happen once every 3 seconds.
  • Aspect Of Hungry Blood – Each cast of Blood Lance will launch an additional Blood Lance at a Nearby enemy when it first hits an enemy that is already lanced, dealing 48% 70% of normal damage.
  • Aspect Of Bursting Bones – When a segment of Bone Prison is destroyed or expires, it deals 0% 1% of Weapon Damage damage in an area around itself.
  • Aspect Of Grasping Veins – Gain 25% 20% increased Critical Strike Chance for 6 seconds when you cast Corpse Tendrils. You deal 50% 40% bonus Critical Strike Damage to enemies for 6 seconds after they are damaged by Corpse Tendrils.
  • Blighted Aspect – You deal 120% 50% increased damage for 6 seconds after the Shadowblight Key Passive damages enemies 10 times.
  • Torturous Aspect – Iron Maiden is now also a Darkness Skill and deals Shadow damage. Enemies afflicted by your Iron Maiden have a 25% chance to be Stunned for 1 second when they take deal direct damage. damage from Iron Maiden.
  • Aspect Of Reanimation – Your Minions gain increased damage while alive, up to 40% after 10 seconds.
  • Cadaverous Aspect – Consuming a Corpse increases the damage of your next Core Skill Skills by 20%, 11.0 for 5 seconds, up to 100%. 55.0.
  • Aspect Of The Unholy Tether (New)Casting Golem’s active Skill creates a bond between you for 6 seconds. While the bond is active, both of you are Unhindered and gain 40.0% Movement Speed.
  • Inexorable Reapers Aspect (New)Sever now dashes you forward to attack instead. It becomes a Mobility Skill and costs no Essence, but has a 7.0 second Cooldown.
  • Aspect Of Creeping Mist (New)Gain 35.0% Evade Cooldown Reduction. You can now Evade during Blood Mist, traveling twice as far. Entering or exiting Blood Mist resets your Evade Cooldown.
  • Imprisoned Spirits Aspect (New)When Bone Spirit explodes inside a Bone Prison, it explodes an additional time, dealing 70.0% of normal damage. Bone Spirit now prioritizes enemies inside a Bone Prison.

Necromancer Skill Changes in Season 5

Here are all the datamined skill changes coming for Necromancers in the Season 5 patch.

  • Blight – Essence Cost: 25 Lucky Hit Chance: 40% Unleash concentrated blight that deals 40% damage and leaves behind a defiled area, dealing 105% 135% damage over 6 seconds.
  • Blight (Rank 2) – Essence Cost: 25 Lucky Hit Chance: 40% Unleash concentrated blight that deals 44% damage and leaves behind a defiled area, dealing 116% 149% damage over 6 seconds.
  • Blight (Rank 3) – Essence Cost: 25 Lucky Hit Chance: 40% Unleash concentrated blight that deals 48% damage and leaves behind a defiled area, dealing 126% 162% damage over 6 seconds.
  • Blight (Rank 4) – Essence Cost: 25 Lucky Hit Chance: 40% Unleash concentrated blight that deals 52% damage and leaves behind a defiled area, dealing 136% 175% damage over 6 seconds.
  • Blight (Rank 5) – Essence Cost: 25 Lucky Hit Chance: 40% Unleash concentrated blight that deals 56% damage and leaves behind a defiled area, dealing 147% 189% damage over 6 seconds.
  • Blood Wave – Cooldown: 50 seconds Lucky Hit Chance: 20% Conjure a tidal wave of blood that deals 150% 450% damage and Knocks Back enemies.
  • Golem (Blood) – Cooldown: 16 seconds Passive: You are protected by a Golem with 189% 756% Life that attacks for 77% damage. Active: Your Golem becomes Unstoppable and drains Taunts Nearby enemies and takes 30% reduced damage for the next 6 seconds. It gains 70% blood of enemies in the area, dealing 140% damage and healing 5% of its Life Armor as Thorns for the duration. each enemy drained. Damage and healing received are tripled if only one enemy is drained. You become Unstoppable for 1.5 seconds. When your Golem dies, it respawns after 20 seconds.
  • Golem (Bone) – Cooldown: 16 seconds Passive: You are protected by a Golem with 189% 756% Life that attacks for 77% damage. Active: Your Golem becomes Unstoppable and Taunts Nearby enemies and takes 30% reduced damage for the next 6 seconds. It gains 70% of its Armor as Thorns for the duration. You become Unstoppable for 1.5 seconds. When your Golem dies, it respawns after 20 seconds.
  • Golem (Iron) – Cooldown: 10 16 seconds Passive: You are protected by a Golem with 189% 756% Life that attacks for 77% damage. Active: Command your Your Golem to go to the targeted area, they become becomes Unstoppable and slam their fists into Taunts Nearby enemies and takes 30% reduced damage for the ground, dealing 200% damage and Stunning surrounding enemies next 6 seconds. It gains 70% of its Armor as Thorns for 3 seconds. the duration. You become Unstoppable for 1.5 seconds. When your Golem dies, it respawns after 20 seconds.
  • Hellbent CommanderWhile you control at least 7 Minions, Your your Minions deal 15% 10% increased damage damage. while you are Close to them.

  • Iron Maiden – Essence Cost: 10 Curse the target area. Enemies afflicted by Iron Maiden take 30% damage every 2 seconds and each time they deal direct damage. Lasts 10 seconds.
  • Iron Maiden (Rank 2) – Essence Cost: 10 Curse the target area. Enemies afflicted by Iron Maiden take 33% damage every 2 seconds and each time they deal direct damage. Lasts 10 seconds.
  • Iron Maiden (Rank 3) – Essence Cost: 10 Curse the target area. Enemies afflicted by Iron Maiden take 36% damage every 2 seconds and each time they deal direct damage. Lasts 10 seconds.
  • Iron Maiden (Rank 4) – Essence Cost: 10 Curse the target area. Enemies afflicted by Iron Maiden take 39% damage every 2 seconds and each time they deal direct damage. Lasts 10 seconds.
  • Iron Maiden (Rank 5) – Essence Cost: 10 Curse the target area. Enemies afflicted by Iron Maiden take 42% damage every 2 seconds and each time they deal direct damage. Lasts 10 seconds.
  • Raise Skeleton – Raise a Skeleton from a Corpse to fight for you. Once all of your Skeletons have been summoned, Raise Skeleton briefly summons a Skeletal Priest to empower your Minions for 8 seconds, increasing their damage by 30% and healing them for 40% of their Maximum Life.
  • Sever – Essence Cost: 20 Lucky Hit Chance: 20% 25% A specter of you charges forward and attacks with its scythe for 80% 110% damage then returns to you and attacks again for 30% 45% damage.
  • Sever (Rank 2) – Essence Cost: 20 Lucky Hit Chance: 20% 25% A specter of you charges forward and attacks with its scythe for 88% 121% damage then returns to you and attacks again for 33% 50% damage.
  • Sever (Rank 3) – Essence Cost: 20 Lucky Hit Chance: 20% 25% A specter of you charges forward and attacks with its scythe for 96% 132% damage then returns to you and attacks again for 36% 54% damage.
  • Sever (Rank 4) – Essence Cost: 20 Lucky Hit Chance: 20% 25% A specter of you charges forward and attacks with its scythe for 104% 143% damage then returns to you and attacks again for 39% 58% damage.
  • Sever (Rank 5) – Essence Cost: 20 Lucky Hit Chance: 20% 25% A specter of you charges forward and attacks with its scythe for 112% 154% damage then returns to you and attacks again for 42% 63% damage.
  • Shadowblight – Shadow damage infects enemies with Shadowblight for 2 seconds. Every 10th 8th time an enemy receives Shadow damage from you or your Minions while they are affected by Shadowblight, they take an additional 22% 44% Shadow damage. Shadowblight’s damage is increased by 100% of your Shadow Damage Over Time bonus.
