You can never really get enough Obducite really, at least until you have all your gear perfectly masterworked! Well, today we have a really great tip for another source of the precious material, as something seems to have changed in Season 7.
The Den
The_Painless spotted this little Season 7 update and decided to share. The mercenary headquarters in Nahantu, the Den, actually had one of its caches upgraded. The Masterworking cache always dropped some Obducite, around 20. However, that amount has been dramatically buffed! The_Painless reports there are three quantities you can get: 750, 1000, or 1250 at Torment 4. These amounts are significantly lower at lower Torment tiers. How much you get exactly seems random, but considering you probably don’t need the mercenary coins that much, it’s basically free.
How To Get the Cache
You’ll need to do a little work to get the Masterworking Cache to appear, however. If you’ve been upgrading your mercenaries regularly, this will already be done. To get the cache at all you need Varyana (the Barbarian/berserker) at rank 8 rapport. If you’re solo she’ll get the most experience as your main mercenary, but in a group, she has to be the secondary aka reinforcement.
Additionally, you’ll want all your mercenaries to be maximum rapport level, as each grants more “slots” to the vendor, for more chances at the cache appearing when you restock the contents. You can see your bartering upgrades total rank at the bottom of the vendor. Each 10 levels of each mercenary add a rank.
