We’ve datamined all the Barbarian changes coming in Vessel of Hatred!

All classes are getting some hefty changes in the new expansion and we’re starting with Barbarians! Below, we’ve highlighted all the aspect, skill, paragon, and item changes for the class that we expect to arrive with Patch 2.0.1.

Barbarian Aspect Changes in Patch 2.0.1

  • Aspect of EarthquakesGround Stomp creates an Earthquake damaging enemies for (2% of Weapon Damage) Physical damage over 4 seconds. While standing in Earthquakes, you deal 25% increased damage.
  • Aspect of Giant Strides — Reduces the Cooldown of Leap by 10.0 5.0 seconds per enemy hit, up to a maximum of 9 7 seconds. Hitting a Boss with Leap provides the maximum reduction.
  • Aspect of Herculean SpectacleMighty Throw deals 0% increased damage and hurls another 2 weapons.
  • Aspect of Numbing Wrath — Each point of Fury generated while at Maximum Fury grants 41 2 Fortify.
  • Aspect of Shattering SteelSteel Grasp and Iron Maelstrom launch up to 10 metal shards that deal (2% of Weapon Damage) Physical damage.
  • Aspect of Tempering Blows — After swapping weapons 5 times, gain 1724 72 Fortify.
  • Aspect of the Flaming RampageCharge gains an additional Charge. Each target hit by it explodes for (1% of Weapon Damage) Fire damage to surrounding enemies.
  • Death Wish Aspect — Gain 5860 245 Thorns while Berserking.
  • Earthquake AspectGround Stomp creates an Earthquake damaging enemies for (1% of Weapon Damage) Physical damage over 4 seconds. While standing in Earthquakes, you deal 25% increased damage.
  • Steadfast Berserker’s Aspect — Gain 2206 92 Fortify whenever you deal direct damage while Berserking.

Barbarian Spell Changes in Patch 2.0.1

  • Barbed CarapaceFor every 25 Fury you spend, you gain 10% Thorns for 8 seconds, up to 120%. Casting a Skill with a Cooldown grants you Unhindered for 5 seconds. During this time, you deal 100% of your Thorns as Physical damage to Close enemies every second.
  • Battle Frenzy — While Berserking, your other skills gain 5% 6% Attack Speed for each stack of Frenzy you have.
  • BelligerenceDamaging an enemy with a Basic Skill increases your damage by 3% for 4 seconds.
  • Call of the Ancients — Cooldown: 50 seconds Call upon 3 Ancients to aid you in battle for 6 seconds.
    • Korlic leaps at enemies, dealing 176% 110% damage and swings his weapons in a frenzy, dealing 59% 40% damage per hit.
    • Talic spins in a whirlwind rapidly attacking enemies for 117% 80% damage.
    • Madawc upheaves the ground, dealing 332% 200% damage.
  • Charge — Cooldown: 17 seconds Lucky Hit Chance: 33% 100% Become Unstoppable and rush forward, pushing enemies with you then swinging through them for 180% damage and Knocking them Back.
  • Combat Flay — When Flay deals direct damage to an enemy, you gain 4% Damage Reduction and 796 0 Thorns for 6 seconds. This stacks up to 5 times.
  • Combat Frenzy — You gain 8% 5% Damage Reduction for each and 5% Movement Speed per stack of Frenzy you currently have.
  • Enhanced Frenzy — While Frenzy is granting 60% bonus Attack Speed, the it also generates 3 additional Fury. Fury costs of your Core Skills are reduced by 25%.
  • Enhanced Ground StompIncrease Ground Stomp’s Stomp duration by generates 60 Fury and has a 1 second. second increased Stun duration.
  • Enhanced Mighty ThrowWhile a thrown weapon is out, gain 25% increased Attack Speed.
  • Enhanced Rupture — Ripping your weapon out of enemies during Rupture causes an explosion that deals 70% Bleeding damage over 5 seconds. This damage is increased by 10% 20% for every 50 Strength you have.
  • Fighter’s Mighty ThrowSwapping weapons near any of your thrown weapons creates an additional pulse. Each extra pulse generates 5% of your Maximum Life as a Barrier for 5 seconds.
  • Frenzy — Generate Fury: 4 7 Lucky Hit Chance: 30% Unleash a rapid flurry of blows, dealing 26% 30% damage with each pair of hits. If Frenzy hits an enemy, its Attack Speed is increased by 20% for 3 seconds, up to 60%.
  • Ground Stomp — Cooldown: 16 seconds Lucky Hit Chance: 33% Smash the ground, dealing 10% 20% damage and Stunning surrounding enemies for 3 seconds.
  • Hamstring — Your Bleeding effects have a 15% chance to Slow Injured enemies by 20% 70% each time they deal damage.
  • Heavy HitterYour Ultimate Skills deal 15% more damage.
  • IrrepressibleCasting a Weapon Mastery Skill Fortifies you for 10% of your Maximum Life.
  • Mighty Throw}Cooldown: 12 seconds Lucky Hit Chance: 11% Hurl your weapon, dealing 60% damage upon impact and sticking in the ground. While in the ground, your weapon pulses and deals 20% damage every second for 4 seconds.
  • Outburst — Gain 318 0 Thorns. Also gain 159 0 Thorns for each 796 0 bonus Maximum Life you have.
  • Power KickKick is now also a Core Skill. If Kick damages an enemy, it consumes all of your Fury and deals an additional 25% damage per 10 Fury spent. Kick no longer Knocks Back enemies.
  • Slaying Strike — You deal 8% 5% increased damage against Injured enemies.
  • Strategic Ground Stomp — Reduce the Cooldown of your Ultimate Skill by 2 4 second seconds per for each enemy damaged by Ground Stomp. Stomp, up to 12 seconds.
  • Tactical Ground Stomp — Ground Stomp generates 60 Fury is now a Brawling Skill and deals 800% increased damage. It also applies Vulnerable for 4 seconds.
  • UnconstrainedIncrease Berserking’s maximum duration by 5 seconds and increase its damage bonus is increased to 60%. While below 65% Life, you are always Berserk and gain a 25% Physical Damage Reduction bonus.
  • WarpathAfter Overpowering, you deal 4% increased damage for 4 seconds.
  • Warrior’s Mighty ThrowMighty Throw’s impact deals 200% increased damage and Stuns enemies for 2 seconds.

    When activating or refreshing the full Walking Arsenal Key Passive effect, you automatically cast Ground Stomp and gain [50 – 100] Fury. Can only occur once every 10 seconds. (Barbarian-only)

    • Korlic creates an Earthquake that deals ([1 – 2]% of Weapon Damage) Physical damage over 4 seconds when he leaps.Talic leaves behind Dust Devils that deal ([2 – 5]% of Weapon Damage) damage while he whirlwinds.Mawdac ignites the ground Burning enemies for an additional ([1 – 2]% of Weapon Damage) damage over 4 seconds when he upheaves the ground.
