There was a new patch, but Blizzard didn&#8217;t mention it specifically as it didn&#8217;t exactly have a lot of features! No, You Didn’t Imagine It: Patch Brings Stability Improvements


<p>Blizzard have shared some data regarding potential stability problems for players using both DLSS and Overwolf overlays. It seems the combination of the frame generation option and the overlay may cause crashes. So if you have both of those enabled, try disabling one of them, preferably the overlay. </p>

Season 8 Stability Issues with 3rd Party Software


<p>The free side of the Berserk collaboration brings several different cosmetics to Diablo 4. However, to get them, you need the Behelit currency, which drops randomly off elites. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Slightly Annoying</h2>



<p>Unlike most other currencies, Behelits behave more like items and do not get picked up automatically. Even your pets won&#8217;t touch them! They also don&#8217;t show up on the minimap like the seasonal currency, and there&#8217;s no beam marking them like for legendaries, making them pretty easy to miss. </p>



<p>These seem like intentional decisions, as Blizzard probably wanted players to realize there&#8217;s an event going on. With auto-pick up, most of us wouldn&#8217;t really have known they even exist as drops or have noticed where they come from. The minimap visibility is a little strange, since Spectral Ash gets its own special seasonal icon when it drops, and it gets auto-loot! </p>



<p>As you can imagine, players aren&#8217;t too happy about this. </p>

<p><br>In the grand scheme of things this isn&#8217;t a huge issue, but it all adds up to player dissatisfaction with the season overall. From the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-iv-players-outraged-as-season-8-battle-pass-overhaul-offers-less-for-more/">Reliquary rework</a> to the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-x-berserk-collab-slammed-over-set-pricing/">Berserk premium cosmetic pricing</a>, lackluster seasonal event and more, Season 8 probably won&#8217;t go down in Diablo 4 history as one of the better ones. <p>The <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-x-berserk-crossover-event-now-live/">Diablo 4 x Berserk crossover</a> has landed, but excitement quickly turned to frustration as players discovered that you&#8217;ll need to pay $150 if purchased in full with Platinum to get all cosmetics.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">No Bundles, Just a Massive Price Tag!</h2>



<p>The Berserk-themed sets are sold individually, and there are no bundles or discounts when you buy everything together. Reddit user <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/HilltopHood/">HilltopHood</a> breaks down the costs:</p>

<p>To get <strong>16,500 Platinum</strong>, players would need to buy the<strong> $149.99 Platinum Bundle</strong>, which gives <strong>15,000 Platinum plus a bonus 3,500</strong>. After buying all 6 sets, you&#8217;d have<strong> 2,000 Platinum</strong> left over, but still be out $150.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Cherry on Top: $28 for a Pet</h2>



<p>The Chimimoryo pet, also known as Schnoz, is also for grabs, but it&#8217;ll cost you 2,800 Platinum, or roughly $28 on its own.</p>

Diablo 4 x Berserk Crossover Event Now Live!


<p>A growing number of players are reporting a severe memory leak affecting both RAM and VRAM, and Blizzard has responded.</p>



<p>Reports have surfaced on <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/diablo4/comments/1kfte77/massive_memory_leak_in_diablo_iv_season_8_ram/">Reddit</a> and the <a href="https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/d4/t/major-memory-leak-–-ram-vram-escalation-ignored-by-support-crash-id-included/220837/15">official forums</a> detailing a dual memory issues introduced in the Season 8 Patch 2.2.0. According to players, system memory usage rapidly spikes, even when idle, leading to crashes within 30 minutes of play.</p>

Blizzard Investigating Major Memory Leak in Diablo 4


<p>There&#8217;s plenty of incredibly powerful builds to be had in Season 8. However, some are a liitle bit too powerful. Like infinity damage too powerful. And when this power comes from an item that&#8217;s not supposed to drop at all, things need to be fixed! </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Placeholder Breaking the Damage Calculation</h2>



<p>We&#8217;ve seen builds that break Diablo 4&#8217;s damage numbers before. The damage just gets too high and the game resorts to the maximum value of a 64-bit signed integer. It also makes it a negative value for some reason. But what was causing this? Well, meet Ichorous Salvation! </p>



<p>As <a href="https://www.pcgamer.com/games/rpg/blizzard-accidentally-left-a-placeholder-item-in-diablo-4-and-a-couple-of-lucky-players-went-god-mode-with-them/">reported by PC Gamer</a>, a few players managed to get their hands on these Unique Rogue gloves. They were clearly not meant to be released or possible to drop, as they still had the [PH] AKA placeholder tag on them. A Chinese player cleared a Pit 102 with extreme ease in under two minutes with them, and there&#8217;s even <a href="https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1GHGYzhEE8/">a video to check out</a>! </p>

<p>Those first two affixes sure are something. The Stun Grenade damage keeps on multiplying, and with the huge amounts of them that can be dropped fast, along with other damage over time buffs, it all adds up to a number too big for the game to process. Blizzard quickly acted and made the item unusable. Interestingly, they didn&#8217;t remove it, but blocklisted it, similar to what happened to the Crown of Lucion recently. </p>



<p>We&#8217;ve seen the negative integer overflow before, a few times in fact. One of the recent ones featured a <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/insane-hp-leads-to-almost-infinite-damage-and-breaks-damage-numbers-after-elixir-buff-bug/">2 million+ HP Barbarian combo</a>, so let&#8217;s see how many more times players can reach the number-breaking amounts! </p>

<p>With killing bosses becoming very important in Season 8, players are starting to get a little annoyed at World Bosses! </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Call for Spawn Times</h2>



<p>World Bosses were always meant to be a little bonus flavor (and loot) in the open world. Just a communal activity you could happen onto while playing other things. Even as such, their spawn timer have been a point of contention since the start of the game. Right now, the bosses spawn every 3 and a half hours. </p>



<p>Belial&#8217;s Return exacerbates this further, as players need specific bosses to get their Boss Powers! And so it&#8217;s no wonder we have many calling for much shorter spawn timers, so they can get their hands on one of the powers they&#8217;re missing. Whether an on-the-hour-every-hour schedule would be too much is up for debate, but they most likely should show up faster than they are now. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Boss Spawn Order</h2>



<p>The timing isn&#8217;t the only thing players have suddenly been noticing now that World Bosses are relevant again either. The World Bosses spawn in a 3-2-3 pattern. That means a single boss will appear three times in a row, then the next one two times in a row, then the next one three and so on. This can also get very annoying if you&#8217;re looking at three boss spawns you already have. With the 3.5-hour spawn timer, you&#8217;ll basically have to wait half a day for the next one. And if you need the one after that, well, not today! You can always check out a <a href="https://helltides.com/worldboss">World Boss spawn schedule</a> if you need a particular boss.</p>

<p>Hopefully, Blizzard can speed up World Boss spawns or vary them up a little so players can grab those pretty impressive boss powers! </p>


World Boss Troubles in Boss Power Season is Annoying Players


<p>One Diablo 4 player may have just hit the Season 8 jackpot! In what&#8217;s probably the first publicly reported case, Reddit user <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Belgarathian/">Belgarathian</a><strong> </strong>shared a screenshot of a <span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><img decoding="async" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_Items_Helms_Generic_20.webp" alt="Harlequin Crest"><span class="tooltip-spell-name" data-item-type="Helm" data-item-quality="mythic">Harlequin Crest</span></a></span> with four Greater Affixes that dropped from Torment IV Belial!</p>

<p>This isn&#8217;t a claim of a world first, streamers or other players may have looted similar items without sharing them, but as of now, this is the first confirmed Mythic Unique with four Greater Affixes shared publicly in Season 8!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why It Matters</h2>



<p>Blizzard<a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/did-blizzard-nerf-legendary-rune-and-mythic-unique-drop-rates-in-diablo-4-season-8/"> significantly nerfed the drop rate of Mythic Uniques in Season 8</a> and given the low drop rate of Legendary Runes, it&#8217;s nearly impossible to craft one either, and seeing one with four Greater Affixes is just bonkers!</p>



<p>Congrats to the player, who has probably used up all their luck for the season!</p>



<p>After writing this post, we&#8217;ve noticed another very lucky individual who has crafted a Mythic Unique with 4 Greater Affixes as well!</p>
