On July 18, Blizzard released Diablo 4 Patch 1.1, and the patch is not just the biggest one in the game’s history thus far, but also the most controversial.
Patch 1.1 introduced many nerfs and the community is not particularly happy about it. There has been a lot of backlash since the patch went live (supported by countless of threads on r/diablo4) and Blizzard plans to address some of the feedback in a campfire chat on July 21.
With Season of the Malignant around the corner, players have now started review-bombing Diablo 4 on Metacritic, in the hopes Blizzard will revert the patch.
The game is currently sitting at 2.7 User Score.
We’ve seen this happen in the past with Warcraft 3 Reforged, when the players were not satisfied with some of the game’s features that should have been available at launch.
We’ll be back tomorrow with a liveblog of the developer stream, so stay tuned for more updates!
