A Diablo 4 player has confirmed the in-game gold cap in Diablo 4, ending the debate. Reddit user Epimolophant took it upon themselves to test the limit after conflicting reports from other players.
How Much Gold Can You Hold?
Some players speculated the cap was 100 billion, while others believed a patch had changed it.
To find out, Epimolophant made a final trade while sitting at 98.6 billion gold, selling a 3 Greater Affix helm for 4 billion. However, when they tried to confirm the trade, nothing happened. The trade window remained open.
After adjusting the trade amount to 1.3 billion, the trade succeeded, allowing them to gather gold until they reached 99,999,999,999. At that point, they could no longer pick up any more gold, confirming that the true gold cap is 100 billion minus 1.
