Official Diablo 4 Patch 1.4.4 Notes


<p>Blizzard said they won&#8217;t be implementing an Auction House feature in Diablo 4.</p>



<p>In the latest Campfire Chat, Global Community Lead Adam Fletcher mentioned that there are currently no plans for an Auction House feature in Diablo 4.</p>



<p><strong>Adam Fletcher:</strong>&nbsp;&#8220;Separately, this has been coming up a lot—auction house. There are currently no plans right now for something like that, but we hear you guys. We feedback things like that, let us know.&#8221;</p>



<p>If you remember back in Diablo 3, Blizzard had a Real Money Auction House (RMAH) that was eventually closed on <strong>March 18, 2014</strong>, because it negatively affected the core gameplay aspect of the game. Players were able to directly buy powerful gear with real money, creating a pay-to-win environment, where those willing to spend real money had significant leverage over those who did not.</p>



<p>This is probably something they would like to avoid in Diablo 4.</p>


Blizzard Says No to Auction House in Diablo 4


<p>Loadouts, one of the most requested features in Diablo 4, are still in development and won&#8217;t be available in Season 5.</p>



<p>During the latest <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-season-5-campfire-chat-june-21st/">Campfire Chat</a>, someone asked about loadouts in the Q&amp;A session, and here&#8217;s what Global Community Lead Adam Fletcher had to say:</p>



<p><strong>Adam Fletcher:</strong> &#8220;<em>I&#8217;m going to lightning round like a few quick things. I&#8217;m sure chat will kill me if I don&#8217;t call it out. Now we&#8217;re getting a lot of questions about loadouts. It is, again, still something that we are very well aware of, and we still plan on it. It just takes a lot of time. It&#8217;s a huge, huge amount of overhaul changes and everything from that end.</em>&#8220;</p>



<p>Loadouts are a huge undertaking, requiring significant time and effort. Therefore, the Diablo team do not have any updates to share for Season 5. However, it would not be surprising if this feature is being slated for release in Season 6, particularly as part of the Vessel of Hatred expansion.</p>

Loadouts Still Planned But Not for Season 5


<p>The Butcher is undeniably Diablo 4&#8217;s most famous and most well-liked monsters/feature. However, he hasn&#8217;t been very scary or relevant for a while. As player power skyrocketed in recent seasons, he gets dealt with more and more easily. </p>



<p>Well, Season 5 is looking to fix that. It&#8217;s adding a new and different-looking version of the other Big Red, hoping to bring scary back! The Burning Butcher is even more spiky than the original, and <a href="https://www.youtube.com/@Viettzz">Viett</a> caught him in action. He appears in a maximum level (Tier 8) Infernal Hordes wave, as part of the regular enemies, and is pretty tough. Viett even says he&#8217;s harder than any of the bosses in the mode, and any Pit level 100-200 boss as well! </p>



<p>Unfortunately Viett is running Tyrael&#8217;s Might with the Elixir of Holy Bolts and Whirlwind, so the screen is pretty cluttered. But the Butcher still manages to poke his head through, so let&#8217;s take a look.</p>

<p><br>The actual difficulty on the Season 5 PTR is a little on the light side, as builds are still pretty overpowered, with some tuning coming before the season goes live. And so the Butcher could be back in his scary version with the new season! Here&#8217;s hoping.</p>


Fear Returns to the Red One: Burning Butcher in Tier 8 Infernal Hordes


<p>There&#8217;s many new additions coming to Season 5, with plenty of item changes at the forefront. <p>This feature places a map pin on your selected quest or a task from the in-game journal and shows a route on your mini-map to the chosen destination.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Audio Navigation Assistance</h2>



<p>This feature provides spatial audio pings to guide you to your placed pin on the overworld map. The volume and interval of pings can be adjusted to suit your preferences.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Compass</h2>



<p>This feature places an arrow around your character that points towards your placed pin. The arrow color can be customized for better visibility.</p>
