Diablo 4 Hotfixes: November 4th


<p>A player named <strong><a href="https://www.youtube.com/@resistanced4">Resistance</a></strong> demolished the hardest level in Diablo&#8217;s Pit (Tier 150) in under 2 minutes, setting a new standard with their Spiritborn build.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, other classes struggle to tackle even Tier 120, leaving players eager for a mid-season patch with class buffs!</p>

Spiritborn’s Dominance: Resistance Clears Pit Tier 150 in Under 2 Minutes!


<p>Here&#8217;s a handy little chart showcasing how experience gains rise in relation to the Pit tiers! </p>



<p><a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Icy2889/">Icy2889</a> put together a nice visual representation of both monster kill and Pit finish experience. We can see the rising amounts, but it seems the actual completion XP goes up a lot more than the regular kills. </p>

<p><a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Icy2889/">Icy2889</a> also went into some optimization, to see which pit tier is the optimal for your particular paragon and gear level. There&#8217;s an in-depth explanation below, but the long and short of it is that you want to go for the highest tier possible while aiming at around 90 second Pit clears with what gear and build you have available. </p>

Pit Paragon Experience Farming Graph and Optimal Tiers


<p>Long ago there was a legend of the Uber AKA Mega Butcher, a giant version of the once feared demon. We <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/the-largest-butcher-ever/">quickly found out what made him tick</a>, specifically the Avenger Nightmare Dungeon affix, making him grow as enemies die in his vicinity (even when he&#8217;s off-screen). </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Return of Big</h2>



<p>We haven&#8217;t really heard much from him in recent seasons. Whether he just wasn&#8217;t showing up or players just weren&#8217;t that impressed is unclear. What is clear, however, is that he&#8217;s now back, and his <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/haunting-rewards-await-dive-into-spooky-sanctuary-events-and-unveil-exclusive-cosmetics/">Halloween-pop-out-of-shrines version</a> has also been spotted in a very enlarged state! This actually makes his death especially sad, as you can see how he immediately shrinks upon expiring. </p>

<p><br>With player power and builds getting quite out of hand (yes, even the non-Spiritborn classes), the Butcher has become much less of a threat and so we don&#8217;t really hear from him much. Is it time for a BIG buff?</p>


Halloween Uber Burning Butcher and Mega Friends!


<p>The Diablo 4 Halloween event ends very soon and you can still grab four cosmetics! </p>



<p>All you have to do is log in before November 5th to grab a mount, mount armor, and two trophies! We have the Recluse’s Host mount, Ichorflame Torch and Recluse’s Flask mount trophies, as well as the Reclusive Trappings mount armor to grab! Here&#8217;s what they look like in-game:</p>

<p>These were originally given out one a day until November 1st. However, you can get all of them at once if you log in from now until November 5th. You can also run into the butcher and some goblins when you activate a shrine while the event lasts, with the Meat or Treat feature.</p>



<p>So don&#8217;t forget to grab some mount-y goodness before it&#8217;s too late! </p>


Act Now! Claim Free Mount Cosmetic Rewards Before November 5th


<p>Here&#8217;s one for the annals of Diablo tragedy. A player accidentally sold their <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_Items_Helms_Generic_20.webp" alt="Harlequin Crest"><span class="tooltip-spell-name" data-item-type="Helm" data-item-quality="mythic">Harlequin Crest</span></span></a> and subsequently blocked themselves out of buying it back. </p>



<p><a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Odd_Delay_3231/">Odd_Delay_3231</a> ran into a pretty painful situation. In a perhaps even more painful addition to it all, they also captured it on video! We can see exactly what happened, as they sold the Shako first, and then proceeded to sell all junk items. This pushed the Mythic Unique out of the buyback row, making it gone forever. It wasn&#8217;t quite max masterworked, but 8/12 isn&#8217;t exactly nothing either! </p>



<p>You can even spot a pause in the process right after they sold the helm. As explained in the comments, <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Odd_Delay_3231/">Odd_Delay_3231</a> thought that they had equipped the helm instead of selling it, and then proceeded with the tragic part. </p>

<p>These are definitely the perils of forgetting to favorite your gear, or un-favoriting it. The controller didn&#8217;t exactly help either, as it&#8217;s much less precise in these matters. And you can see in the thread&#8217;s comments that <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Odd_Delay_3231/">Odd_Delay_3231</a> is very much aware of the huge mistake, accepting full responsibility and just trying to commiserate with the community. </p>



<p>We&#8217;ve all misclicked/pressed at one time or another, but this one is among the most painful out there. So Fs in chat, RIP in peace and all of that. We hope <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Odd_Delay_3231/">Odd_Delay_3231</a> can find another Shako soon, however, and we definitely hope they&#8217;ll favorite it if they do! </p>


True Pain: Player Accidentally Sells Mythic Unique Shako and Can’t Buy It Back!


<p>In case you didn&#8217;t already spot it, there&#8217;s a new Whisper bounty in town! </p>



<p>It seems the recent patch 2.0.4 brought more with it than was advertised. Players have been noticing the Pit showing up as a Whisper bounty, rewarding 5 Grim Favors! This puts pretty much all of the endgame activities on the bounty list, so always keep an eye out for what&#8217;s marked red. Whisper caches were also buffed recently, awarding many more base materials, so they&#8217;re even more worthwhile. Not to mention you can<a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/level-1-to-60-in-10-seconds-with-some-preparation/"> level alts in 10 seconds</a> if you hold on to enough of them! </p>

The Pit Joins Whisper Bounties!


<p>The Diablo youtube channel posted a long soundtrack of ambient music from the game titled &#8220;Rot and Ruin&#8221;. The video goes through Nahantu, the Dark Citadel and more, in a sort of demonic nature documentary sort of way, with some very spooky music in the background, just in time for Halloween! </p>

Emanations of Sanctuary: Rot and Ruin Ambiental Soundtrack


<p>Diablo IV Patch 2.0.4b is live, focusing on stability improvements for a smoother gameplay experience.</p>



<p>Blizzard has rolled out Patch 2.0.4b, with the primary focus on improving client stability and eliminating the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/blizzard-to-address-ongoing-bsod-issues-with-client-side-patch/">ongoing BSOD and other issues impacting game performance</a>, promising a smoother experience across the board.</p>



<p>Blizzard will continue to monitor player feedback and server logs to ensure the best possible experience.</p>

Patch 2.0.4b Brings Stability Improvements


<p>There are many topics discussed in the D4 community, some related to bugs, some to tuning, and a whole lot related to quality of life improvements. One in particular keeps coming up over and over and over. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Simple UI Change</h2>



<p>This particular change has been a topic for far longer than just Vessel of Hatred and Season 6, but it&#8217;s become much more frequent since then. Nightmare Sigils have changed since the expansion, and so have Tree of Whispers bounties. The latter also keep getting their rewards buffed, and so they&#8217;re getting more and more valuable. </p>



<p>And so the No.1 request from the community is some kind of UI marker so that we know which Nightmare Dungeon has an active Whisper bounty easier! There are plenty of suggestions on how to do it too:</p>

<p>There are many, MANY more posts like the above, and they keep popping up basically every single day. As Whispers become more and more valuable, especially with the recent additions of Rawhide and Iron Scraps, players want to do more and more. Combining them with Nightmare Dungeon runs is especially worthwhile because of the masterworking materials. </p>
