The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences is hosting the 28th annual DICE awards in February, and Vessel of Hatred got a nomination!
Nominated in the “Online Game of the Year” category, Diablo 4 is up against Helldivers 2, Space Marine 2, Marvel Rivals, and Black Ops 6. The nominees and winners are chosen by industry professionals, as developers from different studios get invited to pick each year.
The event is being held on February 13th and will be streamed on IGN starting at 8:00 PM PT. Here are some more official details:
“The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) is pleased to announce the nominees for its 28th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards (#DICEAwards), the video game industry’s premier awards show, with winners selected by a panel of industry peers. Returning to the stage as co-hosts are Greg Miller, founder of Kinda Funny Games, and award-winning media personality, Stella Chung. The winners will be revealed at the 28th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards ceremony, the culmination of the week-long industry gathering at the 2025 D.I.C.E. Summit (#DICE2025). The ceremony will be livestreamed by our official media partner, IGN, on Thursday, Feb. 13 at 8:00PM PT from the Aria Resort in Las Vegas.
A total of 60 games released in 2024 are nominated. Leading the pack with an impressive six nominations each are Astro Bot, Helldivers 2, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, followed closely by Balatro and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II with five nominations. Additionally, 1000xRESIST, ANIMAL WELL, and Batman: Arkham Shadow secured four nominations each.
Competing for 2024’s top honor, Game of the Year, are: Astro Bot, Balatro, Black Myth: Wukong, Helldivers 2, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
