<li><strong>Red-Cloaked Horror Returns</strong> &#8211; The formidable Red-Cloaked Horror is back, spawning in Heltides and Infernal Hordes.</li>



<li><strong>Mother&#8217;s Blessing Buff</strong> &#8211; For a limited time, players will earn extra Experience and Gold!</li>



<li><strong>Spiritborn Class Trial</strong> &#8211; If you don&#8217;t own Vessel of Hatred, you can try the new Spiritborn class and play up to level 25.</li>

<p>The past year brought many changes to Sanctuary. If you haven’t returned since Season of the Construct in January, many quality-of-life changes have made this the best time to play Diablo IV.</p>
<p>Progression is faster and more rewarding. Leveling has been updated, molded, and augmented to improve the feel of gaining power as you rise through the ranks. The Level cap has been adjusted and difficulty tiers updated, making it faster to get to the endgame when playing in the Seasonal realm or with fresh alt characters.</p>
<p>Many of the core modes you spend time slaying in have received a bevy of changes, including Helltide, The Pit, Infernal Hordes, Endgame Bosses and more. The vicious Andariel, Duriel, and Varshan were introduced as brutal endgame fights to master. To help conquer these challenging fights, Party Finder was introduced to make it easier to group up and take down these incredible challenges.</p>
<p>Itemization, Tempering, Masterworking, Legendary Glyphs, item power, affixes, Codex of Power, and Mythic Uniques were all reworked and tweaked. Their core systems were reinvigorated, making them more powerful and easier to use. Eternal characters now enjoy realm wide Paragon, increased Paragon, new Skills and broad Paragon updates.</p>
<p>Plus, the Vessel of Hatred expansion brought the endgame challenges of Dark Citadel, Kurast Undercity, Mercenaries, a whole new Zone, and an all-new class with the Spiritborn.</p>

The Red-Cloaked Horror also has a chance to appear in the Infernal Hordes and Dungeons to ambush you from the shadows. Defeat these frigid foes for increased rewards, such as Cinders, Burning Aether, and more.</p>
<p>The return of the Red-Cloaked Horror brings good tidings as well, for slaying the hulking beast is guaranteed to earn you the coveted—and improved—Gileon’s Brew. For 30 minutes, this fabled Elixir increases your damage dealt to enemies by 20%, causes enemies to routinely drop additional Herbs and Crafting Materials, and grants 15% increased Experience. Gileon’s Brew also has a chance to drop from Tortured Gifts in Helltide throughout the limited-time event.</p>

Mid-Season Runeword Buffs Announced: Key Updates You Need to Know


<p>Blizzard has surprised us with balance updates in the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/mid-season-campfire-chat-overview-balance-changes-patch-details/">mid-season Campfire Chat</a>: there will be no nerfs for the Spiritborn class until Season 7! Instead, <strong>all other classes are receiving substantial buffs</strong>, aiming to bring every class closer to Spiritborn’s power level.</p>

Mid-Season Patch Highlights: No Spiritborn Nerfs and Major Buffs for Every Class!


<p>Blizzard is introducing a Welcome Back Boost in Diablo 4 soon, giving players a head start to dive back into the game! The boost grants <strong>Level 50</strong> and unlocks all <strong>Altars of Lilith</strong> for <strong>Eternal Realm players</strong>. The boost also comes with a starter build, so you can play right away without having to set up anything.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How the Boost Works</h2>



<p>If you own <strong>Diablo 4</strong>, you will receive <strong>1 boost</strong>. If you also own <strong>Vessel of Hatred</strong>, you&#8217;ll get <strong>2 boosts</strong>. The boosts are limited to <strong>Eternal Realm players</strong>.</p>

Diablo 4’s Welcome Back Boost: Level 50 and Altars of Lilith Unlocked!


<p>Certain shrines have been the subject of many community complaints for a while now. Conduit definitely won that particular race and has been the laughing stock of Season 6. Luckily Blizzard have announced a buff to three of the most problematic shrines, including the dreaded Conduit! </p>



<p>Not only are the Shrines getting some numerical buffs to start with, they will also be scaling based on player and Paragon level! This should help Artillery and Blast Wave at least, but we&#8217;ll just have to wait and see with Conduit.</p>

Shrines Are Getting Major Buffs in Mid-Season 6 Patch


<p>It&#8217;s time for another Diablo IV Campfire Chat, this time, dedicated to the mid-season patch! We&#8217;re liveblogging the whole stream. Check back often for updates!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Highlights</h2>



<p>Patch notes for the mid-season patch are coming later this week. Next week, we&#8217;re getting a Patch 2.1 PTR stream. Patch 2.1 notes will be available before Thanksgiving. Actual 2.1 PTR will begin after Thanksgiving.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class Balance</h2>



<p>Adam Jackson talks about the current state of Season 6 along with a preview of some changes for each class.</p>



<ul>
<li>A whole lot of people are enjoying the Spiritborn, which is gratifying for the team.</li>



<li>62% of all players have played the Spiritborn.</li>



<li>For comparison, in Season 5, the Sorceress was the most played class at 32%.</li>



<li>Spiritborn is performing better than other classes, largely due to unintended interaction and balance issues.</li>



<li>Other classes are performing fairly well when compared to one another. They are competitive in pit tier clears which is a good sign for the devs.</li>
</ul>



<p>2 statements that they need to balance:</p>



<ul>
<li>They want players to feel strong and powerful and to feel like they can break the game.</li>



<li>They want class parity in regards to power level.</li>
</ul>



<p><strong>There are no plans to nerf Spiritborn in the midseason patch! Blizzard will be fixing unintended interactions with Spiritborn and making balance adjustments in Season 7 to bring them in line with other classes</strong>.</p>



<p><strong>If something comes up that impacts other players in regards to game performance, they will fix it as soon as possible.</strong></p>



<p><strong>They are buffing all classes in the midseason patch, but not enough to account for the power of unintended interactions with the Spiritborn</strong>.</p>

<li><strong>Are any stability fixes coming given the frequent crashes? </strong>Blizzard receives logs for all crashes and the Engineering team is working around the clock to release client patches to fix those issues. Mid-Season Campfire Chat Overview: Balance Changes & Patch Details


<p>We have some interesting news today as Blizzard teased even more info coming after this week&#8217;s mid-season 6 Campfire chat! </p>



<p><span class="css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3" style="text-overflow: unset;">Global Director of Community</span> Adam Fletcher popped in on X to remind players of tomorrow&#8217;s Campfire Chat stream. Blizzard is scheduled to give us updates about the mid-season patch during the Campfire, with the patch presumably arriving later in the week. </p>



<p>However, in that same tweet Fletcher also teased a second stream the week after the Campfire! Unfortunately there was no additional information related to that. Considering the point in the season we are at now, we speculate that the second stream is most likely related to Season 7. It may not be a full reveal with all the details, but perhaps there are some systemic changes coming with the next season which Blizzard want to share. </p>

Diablo 4 Season 7 Announcement Coming? Second Stream Announced After Mid-Season Campfire!


<p>As we&#8217;ve recently seen from Duriel run stats, getting more than 1 Greater Affix on a Mythic Unique is incredibly rare in and of itself. Getting an honest to goodness four Greater Affixes is incredibly lucky. But getting two in the span of one day? That&#8217;s something crazy. So what would be the the absolute worst scenario within this crazy luck vortex?</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Unluckiest Lucky Player There Ever Was</h2>



<p>The appropriately named <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/RUMadBrow/">RUMadBrow</a> got a fantastic <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_Items_Helms_Generic_48.webp" alt="Heir of Perdition"><span class="tooltip-spell-name" data-item-type="Helm" data-item-quality="mythic">Heir of Perdition</span></span></a>, all maxed out with all four affixes of a greater variety. After having gotten all the Mythic Uniques they needed, today they decided to do a little gamble at the blacksmith&#8217;s random purple shop. And lo and behold, ANOTHER 4 Greater Affix Mythic!! Except, whoops, it&#8217;s the exact same one! </p>

<p>As Greater Affixes don&#8217;t really mean anything unless you plan to use the item this is just some potential masterworking materials saved in case <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/RUMadBrow/">RUMadBrow</a> wanted to re-roll its MW crits. Or just a regular spark, same as any basic 1 Greater Affix Mythic! </p>



<p>Either way it&#8217;s hard to feel bad for them, but that type of luck only happens once in your entire time playing D4, so it is a bit of a shame it&#8217;s the same item. </p>


Incredibly (Un?)Lucky Player Gets TWO Quad Greater Affix Mythic Uniques in 1 Day… and It’s the Same One!


<p>The mid-season Campfire Chat is approaching, and the community is speculating about what balance changes might be coming. Players are especially curious (and maybe a little nervous) about the future of the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/spiritborn/builds/">Spirirborn</a> class, which has been dominating <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season/">Season 6 </a>thanks to multiple bugs that lead to exponential damage scaling.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Spiritborn: Overpowered or Just Fun?</h2>



<p>Right now, Spiritborn is the most overpowered class in Vessel of Hatred, but it&#8217;s not due to intentional design. Bugs in the class&#8217;s mechanics have allowed players to exploit damage scaling in ways that outshine every other build. While fun for those playing as Spiritborn, this has limited viable build diversity and left players of other classes feeling overshadowed.</p>



<p>In a recent post on X, Diablo General Manager Rod Fergusson asked the community directly whether Blizzard should fix the Spiritborn or leave it overpowered because players were enjoying it. The response was mixed: of the 10K+ people who voted, 63.1% said Blizzard should &#8220;leave it be,&#8221;, while 36.9% voted to &#8220;fix it.&#8221;</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Case for Fixing Spiritborn Bugs</h2>



<p>While many players might be enjoying the powerful Spiritborn builds, fixing these bugs would have major benefits for the game&#8217;s overall balance. By addressing the exploits that give Spiritborn such a big edge, Blizzard would open up opportunities for other builds to thrive. Right now, only a few Spiriborn builds are truly viable, and they rely on unintended mechanics to work. Fixing these would allow for more diversity in builds.</p>



<p>Additionally, with Season 7 on the horizon, it&#8217;s an ideal time for Blizzard to address balance issues and set a more even playing field across all classes. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What to Expect from the November 12 Campfire Chat?</h2>



<p>While Blizzard hasn&#8217;t shared specifics on which classes might see changes, the mid-season Campfire Chat will likely address the community&#8217;s concerns about class balance. Will Blizzard nerf the Spiritborn, or will they focus on buffing other classes? We&#8217;ll have to wait until <strong>November 12</strong> to find out, but the conversation around Spiritborn has set the stage for what could be one of the most anticipated balance updates so far int he new expansion!</p>
