Blizzard just teased the theme for the very first season of Diablo 4! It seems corruption is going to feature heavily in this month’s upcoming season, as the official Diablo Twitter shows it spreading across Sanctuary:
Obviously we can’t be sure what that means, as “corruption” is a fairly generic term. However, the Prime Evils are known for corrupting their Soulstone prisons and those that carry them. So we may be getting some form of continuation of the main story, at least in theme. We’ve already found out a little of what happens after the campaign ends when it comes to Mephisto and Neyrelle in The Book of Lorath, but perhaps we will see even more now!
Franchise manager Rod Fergusson has now also chimed in, emphasizing “non-zombie things”:
What do you think the season will be about? Will it be connected to the post-credits scene and that mysterious demon? Or is that intended for a future expansion?
