<p>Update: the season is now live! </p>



<p>Blizzard ran into some technical issues and Season of Blood will be delayed by a few hours.</p>



<p>Patch 1.2.0 is now available for download and is about <strong>7 GBs </strong>in size, but Season 2 has not started yet. Blizzard encountered some issues with their build and Season 2 will start in a <strong>few hours from now</strong>.</p>



<p>At the same time, Blizzard&#8217;s working on a fix for <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/blizzard-investigating-patch-1-2-0-login-issues/">ongoing login issues</a> that players are having after downloading the latest Diablo 4 update.</p>

Diablo 4 Season 2 Start Time Delayed


<p>Here&#8217;s an infinite wave mode! Oh, wait, it&#8217;s ACTUALLY infinite. As in, it literally never ends. </p>



<p>A player ran into an interesting bug. The Hatred&#8217;s Hoard event in the Seething Realm of the Realmwalker is intended to have a 4 chest reward maximum if you slay enough enemies quickly. Unfortunately, it seems if you exceed that 4 chest limit, you are doomed to farm more forever! </p>



<p>Well, not really, you can actually leave. But we have many players reporting getting the bug and just keep going and going! <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/LuckNiggums/">LuckNiggums</a> below went to 13 chests, but could never actually get the event to finish, so they were just tainting them! Other players went as high as 25. Realistically, it is endless, so you could farm them quite a bit. It&#8217;s a nice enough normal monster farm, but those stacking chests will drive you insane eventually. </p>

Seething Realm Wave Event Goes Infinite! Many Chest Rewards Promised, but It Never Ends


<p>Here&#8217;s a quick look at how to grab all the new mounts that came with the expansion! </p>



<p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/@robsafari">Robsafari</a> takes us though all the cats we can handle, starting with the easiest to get done and finishing with the ones that take the most effort. From the stable master 100K gold ones to the campaign panthers, the Legion event leopard, the Undercity panther, tiger and cheetah, the lioness from maxing all mercenaries, the lion from <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/nahantu-tenets-of-akarat-locations-and-rewards/">all the Akarat Tenets</a>, the paragon 300 &#8220;cow&#8221; and more! Unfortunately one of them is already gone, as the Dark Citadel mount was only available until November 5th. </p>



<p>We also get to see some really cool mount armors at the end, so let&#8217;s dive in. </p>

How to Get All Vessel of Hatred Mounts (Video)


<p>Here&#8217;s a fascinating look at some Duriel boss run statistics, with a pretty huge sample size as well! </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Stats</h2>



<p><a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/thegrasswasgreen/">Thegrasswasgreen</a> meticulously documented their many, many Duriel runs, noting what loot dropped from each one! We have a look at just how many Uniques and Mythic Uniques dropped, as well as runes and each individual Mythic as well! </p>



<p>You can check out the full stats below, but here are the highlights from 500 runs:</p>



<ul>
<li>417 basic Uniques, plus an additional 36 with two Greater Affixes and 4 with three. </li>



<li>24 Mythic Uniques none of which had more than the default single GA. </li>



<li>Noc and Feo were the most common runes, with Moni and Ohm being the rarest. </li>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Problem</h2>



<p>The fact that there were absolutely zero 4 Greater Affix items in 500 runs pretty much tells you what the GA situation is like. Not to mention the 24 Mythics with no additional GAs. Now, of course, RNG is gonna RNG, but this is a pretty significant sample size. A very common complaint from players this season has specifically been low Ancestral drop rates, and especially Greater Affix drop rates. We&#8217;ll see if Blizzard address any of this during the upcoming Campfire stream and mid-season patch! </p>

Loot From 500 Duriel Runs Showcases Some Itemization Problems: Runes, Mythic Uniques and Greater Affix Drop Numbers


<p>The Halloween event ended just a short while ago, but one player had a really rare and unexpected encounter! </p>



<p>The recently ended holiday event had a chance to spawn Treasure Goblins or the Burning Butcher from shrines. However, <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Breach13/">Breach13</a> has some good/bad luck, depending on how you look at it! Aside from being assaulted from a regular Butcher at the start of the dungeon, they then ran into a Burning Butcher from a shrine. So far, so normal. However, right after that a second shrine decided to overcharge the butchery and actually spawned TWO Burning Butchers at once! As you&#8217;d expect, <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Breach13/">Breach13</a> almost died taking the screenshot! </p>

<p>A player named <strong><a href="https://www.youtube.com/@resistanced4">Resistance</a></strong> demolished the hardest level in Diablo&#8217;s Pit (Tier 150) in under 2 minutes, setting a new standard with their Spiritborn build.</p>

Spiritborn’s Dominance: Resistance Clears Pit Tier 150 in Under 2 Minutes!


<p>Here&#8217;s a handy little chart showcasing how experience gains rise in relation to the Pit tiers! </p>



<p><a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Icy2889/">Icy2889</a> put together a nice visual representation of both monster kill and Pit finish experience. We can see the rising amounts, but it seems the actual completion XP goes up a lot more than the regular kills. </p>

There&#8217;s an in-depth explanation below, but the long and short of it is that you want to go for the highest tier possible while aiming at around 90 second Pit clears with what gear and build you have available. </p>

Pit Paragon Experience Farming Graph and Optimal Tiers


<p>Long ago there was a legend of the Uber AKA Mega Butcher, a giant version of the once feared demon. We <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/the-largest-butcher-ever/">quickly found out what made him tick</a>, specifically the Avenger Nightmare Dungeon affix, making him grow as enemies die in his vicinity (even when he&#8217;s off-screen). </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Return of Big</h2>



<p>We haven&#8217;t really heard much from him in recent seasons. Whether he just wasn&#8217;t showing up or players just weren&#8217;t that impressed is unclear. What is clear, however, is that he&#8217;s now back, and his <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/haunting-rewards-await-dive-into-spooky-sanctuary-events-and-unveil-exclusive-cosmetics/">Halloween-pop-out-of-shrines version</a> has also been spotted in a very enlarged state! This actually makes his death especially sad, as you can see how he immediately shrinks upon expiring. </p>

<p><br>With player power and builds getting quite out of hand (yes, even the non-Spiritborn classes), the Butcher has become much less of a threat and so we don&#8217;t really hear from him much. Is it time for a BIG buff?</p>
