<p>Blizzard is making some important changes to Apparition Incursions, the new zone takeover event in <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season/">Season 8</a> based on 2.2.0 PTR testing!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What&#8217;s Changing with Apparition Incursions?</h2>



<p>Apparition Incursions are zone takeovers in <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/boss-powers-guide/">Season 8</a> meant for leveling your character and unlocking your first <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/boss-powers-guide/">Boss Powers</a> in the season, as well as <strong>Spectral Ash</strong>, a currency used for upgrading Boss Powers.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Whisper Bounties Added</h2>



<p>One of the biggest changes based on PTR feedback is the addition of <strong>Whisper Bounties</strong> to Apparition Incursions. Now, participating in the event will help you complete objectives for the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/tree-of-whispers-guide/">Tree of Whispers</a>.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Lower Spectral Ash Requirement</h2>



<p>Upgrading <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/meet-the-lair-bosses-a-new-chapter-for-diablo-4s-endgame-in-season-8/">Boss Powers</a> originally required more <strong>Spectral Ash</strong>, which players found too demanding during PTR testing. In response, Blizzard has buffed the amount of Spectral Ash dropped from <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/lair-boss-system-guide/">Lair Bosses</a> and decreased the number of <strong>Spectral Ash</strong> needed to upgrade Boss Powers!</p>

Diablo 4 Season 8: Big Changes to Apparition Incursions After PTR Feedback


<p>If you&#8217;ve played Diablo 4 recently, you&#8217;ll know the extreme annoyance of a World Boss timer warning showing up &#8211; and being completely wrong. Something broke a while ago, and the notifications mostly would not line up with actual World Boss uptimes. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Annoyance Defeated, but Why Now?</h2>



<p>So you&#8217;re playing your Pit, Nightmare Dungeon or seasonal activity when a warning pops up that a World Boss will be up soon. You go to the world map, look around, and there&#8217;s nothing. And then this repeats many times during your playtime. Very annoying. </p>

<p>This has been an issue for quite a while now and Blizzard have not addressed it. So why is it being fixed now? </p>

<p>Well, as <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season/">Season 8</a> is the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/boss-powers-guide/">Boss Power</a> season, the World Bosses also bring their own powers to the table. Considering the fake warnings were merely annoying before, they would get very problematic in this season, as players will really want to take down specific individual bosses for their powers! </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The World Boss Powers</h2>



<p>And here are those powers that you&#8217;ll need these new accurate timers for! </p>

Fake World Boss Notifications Fixed in Season 8!


<p>The Spiritbon seems to be in a good spot, at least according to the Diablo 4 devs. We&#8217;ve now seen the final Season 8 patch notes, and the class received very little tuning after the PTR. All we have are a couple of changes to items and one skill, along with quite a few bug fixes. And even before that, the game&#8217;s latest class didn&#8217;t get changed that much since this past season. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Changes Since the PTR</h2>



<p>We mostly have item changes in the notes, with Rushing Claw getting another buff, this time to its base damage. </p>

<li>Fixed an issue where the Igni rune was not casting at the target of the Skill that activates it.</li>

Season 8 Last-Minute Spiritborn Changes


<p>Blizzard has decided to buff the Obol vendor in Season 8 which starts on April 29. What do the buffs bring and what does it all mean?</p>



<p>During the latest <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-season-8-campfire-chat-highlights/">Campfire Chat</a>, Blizzard announced a buff to the Obol vendor in Season 8. When you purchase a full inventory of items with Obols on <strong>Torment difficulty or higher</strong>, you will be guaranteed to <strong>receive at least 1 Ancestral item</strong>. </p>

<p>We have the pre-launch patch notes, and there have been some big changes to the boss powers in the seasonal mechanic since we saw them on the PTR. Most powers have received massive buffs to damage and effectiveness, and all but 6 have been changed in some way. </p>

Final Boss Power Tuning in Season 8: 18 Powers Changed


<p>We&#8217;ve seen <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/choose-your-own-rewards-with-the-diablo-4-battle-pass-rework-how-reliquaries-work/">how the new Reliquary system is replacing the battle pass</a>, so now it&#8217;s time to see some of the items coming in the <a href="https://diablo4.blizzard.com/en-us/upcoming">Season 8 Reliquaries</a>! </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Reliquary Refresher</h2>



<p>In case you missed the update, the old way the Battle Pass worked is no more. The Reliquary system replaces it in Season 8, allowing players to choose their own rewards in more ways than one. There&#8217;s four Reliquaries in the season. One free, and three you can individually buy. Each one has a number of cosmetics with a theme, and you can grab any of them at any time by spending Favor Tokens, which you will get by killing monsters and completing quests. There will also be a fifth Reliquary coming in May, with the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-x-berserk-crossover-brings-iconic-armor-behelits-and-more/">Berserk IP collaboration</a>. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Cosmetics</h2>



<p>The free Reliquary brings a Town Portal, a mount and armor combo, 200 Platinum, and three weapon transmogs. </p>

Berserk is widely acclaimed for its dark setting, storytelling, characters, and artwork. Set in medieval, dark fantasy world, it centers on themes of betrayal, revenge, sacrifice, and demonic power.</em>&#8220;</p>

Here Are the Diablo 4 Season 8 Reliquary/Battle Pass Cosmetics!


<p>Blizzard have released a new video going over the main features of the upcoming <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season/">Season 8</a>! </p>



<p>The devs start off with the new Lair Boss rework, with free summons and the new key reward system, including the bonus loot from playing in a group and tradable keys. Not to mention the keys now stack to 99! We also get a look at how boss powers work, with one main and three modifiers. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The New Bosses</h2>



<p>We also get a look at the three new bosses: Belial (obviously), Urivar, and the Harbinger of Hatred. It&#8217;s worth noting that Belial has the highest chance of a Mythic Unique dropping in the game, and he has a special chest where players can choose the loot pool from the other bosses. He also has one guaranteed Ancestral drop on every kill. </p>

New Season 8 Twitch Drops Coming April 29!


<p>We have some new changes announced in the final patch notes for next week&#8217;s <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season/">Season 8</a>! <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/meet-the-lair-bosses-a-new-chapter-for-diablo-4s-endgame-in-season-8/">Lair bosses</a> are getting some big updates, in addition to the whole lair system and summoning rework.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">New Tools for Old Bosses</h2>



<p>We knew Blizzard was increasing the difficulty of the game and bosses in general. However, they&#8217;re not just turning up the damage and HP on them! There are new fight mechanics to be had and changes to existing ones. So let&#8217;s dive into everything that&#8217;s changing. </p>



<p>We didn&#8217;t get any specifics for some bosses, as Duriel and Gregoire are getting &#8220;new fight/arena mechanics&#8221;. Beast in the Ice is just getting some minor tweaks to the encounter. We&#8217;ll just have to see what those are on launch! Other bosses, however, did get some details. </p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Lord Zir</strong></h3>

<p>The big vampire is getting both stat buffs and mechanic changes. First off, his damage has been &#8220;significantly&#8221; increased. He&#8217;s also getting a warning cone for better visibility and easier avoidance. The blood puddles in the encounter will be fewer in number but larger in size. He will also now summon more Bloodseekers, which also got damage and HP buffs. </p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Varshan</strong></h3>

<p>The Tree of Whispers tenant is also getting enhanced. The monster absorption mechanic is getting changed, as they will no longer buff Varshan when he takes them in. Rather, each monster absorbed will spawn a permanent seeing projectile, so things might get crowded if you don&#8217;t handle them before they&#8217;re eaten or end the fight fast. </p>



<p>We&#8217;ll see what effects these changes have once the season goes live and just how much harder the bosses will be.
