Blizzard has now officially confirmed that Diablo 4 Season 8 will not start as planned. In a recent tweet, Rod Fergusson, General Manager of Diablo, announced that the new season will take a couple of extra weeks before going live. Unfortunately, no new date was given; this suggests that Season 7 will continue beyond April 29 (its recently extended end date).

With Season 7’s end date already extended to April 29, it is not very clear if Blizzard will add more content to fill the extra gap or simply keep the current season running longer.
