Running form February 4 to February 18, 2025, this event offers both Seasonal and Eternal Realm players the chance to earn Ancestor&#8217;s Favor reputation and unlock exclusive lunar-themed cosmetics!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to Get Started</h2>



<p>Head to Ked Bardu and visit the Lunar Night Market, where Ying-Yue will guide you through the festivities. The main activity? Finding and activating Lunar Shrines scattered across Sanctuary! These shrines double your XP (multiplicative) for 2 minutes and grant powerful temporary buffs.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why You Should Participate</h2>



<ul>
<li>Each Lunar Shrine grants a 100% XP boost and unique combat-enhancing buffs.</li>



<li>Earn lunar-themed cosmetics, including a mount, by leveling up Ancestor&#8217;s Favor reputation. These rewards will be gone when the event concludes on February 18, so you don&#8217;t want to miss out!</li>

<p>Since Diablo 4&#8217;s Early Access, an NPC in Kyovashad has been endlessly spinning in circles, and Blizzard still hasn&#8217;t fixed it!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Bug That Won&#8217;t Stop Turning</h2>



<p>Players in Diablo 4 have slain millions of demons since the game released, but one NPC in Kyovashad has been battling an entirely different kind of enemy—an eternal dizziness loop!</p>



<p>A bug has left this NPC <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-npc-spinning-since-early-access/">spinning non-stop since Early Access</a>, despite nearly two years of updates, the issue remains!</p>

Diablo 4’s Spinning NPC Bug Still Unfixed After Nearly Two Years


<p>Monsters are getting a lot more aggressive here in Season 7 of Diablo 4! We&#8217;ve already seen them peacefully moving into towns, but not it seems they&#8217;re reverting to their old ways! </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Good Thing It Wasn&#8217;t Hardcore</h2>



<p><a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/DrunkenLynel/">DrunkenLynel</a> was heading back to town using their regular portal. And, as you do, they went to the bathroom after activating the portal. When they came back, however, something was very much amiss. </p>

<p>It&#8217;s unclear what exactly happened. Whether it was enemies chasing the player down into town as <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/DrunkenLynel/">DrunkenLynel</a> assumes, or perhaps it was the town-dwelling ones that turned on the player, the end result was the same. A very dead player. Others in the thread also commented it happened to them, so it&#8217;s not a one-off occurrence. </p>



<p>So, if you&#8217;re playing Hardcore, there&#8217;s another reason to be VERY careful. Even if you&#8217;ve successfully town portaled, maybe stick around a few seconds to verify you are truly safe. </p>


Player Gets Killed After Portaling… In Town!


<p>Here&#8217;s a mini-tragedy, as a player spent their last two <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_Quest_MiscTrinkets_11.webp" alt="Resplendent Spark"><span class="tooltip-spell-name" data-item-type="Crafting Material" data-item-quality="mythic">Resplendent Spark</span></span></a>s crafting a Mythic Unique cache at the blacksmith and REALLY wasn&#8217;t happy with the results. </p>



<p>We&#8217;ve already talked about some very good luck with the blacksmith&#8217;s Mythic caches, as a player managed to get a perfect 4 GA item from it, but now it&#8217;s time for the other side of the coin. <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/EndlessssNamelessss/">EndlessssNamelessss</a> got quite the raw deal as they opened the cache to find literally nothing inside. </p>

<p>There are many theories on what actually happened, from the sitting animation messing up the opening to the corner geometry, to server issues. We don&#8217;t know what exactly happened, but we do know the end result was no Mythic!</p>



<p>It seems there wasn&#8217;t one in the recovery &#8220;mail&#8221; stash section either. <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/EndlessssNamelessss/">EndlessssNamelessss</a> said they posted a support ticket to ask for the item, so it couldn&#8217;t have just been there. Unfortunately for them, Blizzard&#8217;s response was to post a bug report for World of Warcraft, so the odds of anything happening there are slim, since, you know, it&#8217;s not the right game and all. Other players also reported opening caches and getting nothing. None of them were the Mythic variety, however, so this is definitely the biggest cache-related loss so far. </p>

<p>So if you learn anything from this little misadventure, let it be open your Mythic caches in wide-open fields without chairs! </p>


Player Opens Mythic Unique Cache to Find… Nothing?!


<p>A Diablo 4 player has utilized a way to power-level from 1-60 in just one minute using a stockpile of Tree of Whispers caches. Despite speculation, Blizzard hasn&#8217;t patched this &#8220;leveling method&#8221;, and it still remains viable!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How It Works</h2>



<p>The player farmed 30 Tree of Whispers caches on their main Barbarian in over 2.5 hours, simultaneously ranking up their Witchcraft reputation. Instead of opening the chests right away, they stored them in the Stash.</p>



<p>After creating a fresh Rogue, they retrieved the caches and opened them all at once, instantly boosting the new character to level 60.</p>

Diablo 4 Player Reaches Level 60 in One Minute Using Tree of Whispers Chests


<p>Blizzard just dropped another in-game sale, offering up to 50% off select cosmetic bundles. Sales like this are rather rare, so if you have been eyeing a new look for your character, now is the time to check out what is available before the shop refreshes.</p>



<p>Some standout deals include the <strong>Beast of Brimstone</strong> and <strong>White Wildcat</strong> mounts, both are cat mounts that were introduced with <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/vessel-of-hatred-overview/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Vessel of Hatred</a>&#8216;s last season. <p>Diablo 4&#8217;s Season of Witchcraft is getting some great updates soon! According to <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/patch-2-1-1-notes/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">the latest patch notes</a>, some of the main seasonal activities are receiving big improvements, making it easier for us to farm Forgotten Altars for <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/witchcraft-guide/#lost_powers" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lost Witchcraft Powers</a>, track Headhunt progress, and complete Whisper Bounties.</p>

<p>It might not seem like a lot, but these changes should make things feel much better throughout your gameplay sessions, especially for players who have struggled to find Forgotten Altars due to their rarity!</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to Farm Forgotten Altars</h2>



<p>Now that there will be increased spawn rates, it is the perfect time to farm Forgotten Altars! If you are looking for the best way to do so, here is what we recommend:</p>



<ul>
<li><strong>Farm Hoarfrost Demise in Torment 4</strong> (or at least <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/world-tier-difficulty/#torment_difficulties" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Torment 1+</a> if you have not reached T4 yet).</li>



<li><strong>Use a <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_Consumables_9.webp" alt="Draught of Whispers"><span class="tooltip-spell-name" data-item-type="Elixir" data-item-quality="magic">Draught of Whispers</span></span></a> Elixir</strong> while running through the dungeon to improve your odds of finding an Altar.</li>



<li><strong>Reset the dungeon if there is no Altar inside</strong>; repeat until you find some.</li>



<li><strong>Try Pit or Roothold runs</strong> while using the Elixir, as they also increase your chances.</li>
</ul>



<p><strong>Keep in mind:</strong> <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/the-pit-of-the-artificers-guide/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pit runs</a> seem to be the most effective, but you will not be able to invite a friend to join when you find an Altar there.</p>


Big Buffs to Forgotten Altars, Ravens of the Tree, and Whisper Bounties!


<p>It seems <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" data-tooltip-type="Witch power" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" data-tooltip-type="Witch power" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_WitchPowers_2.webp" alt="Decay Augmentation"><span class="tooltip-name" data-tooltip-type="Witch power">Decay Augmentation</span></span></a> isn&#8217;t the only Witchcraft power <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/decay-augmentation-witchcraft-power-disabled-due-to-crazy-numbers-necromancer-and-barbarian-updates/">getting disabled this weekend</a>! As we&#8217;ve already covered, <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" data-tooltip-type="Witch power" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" data-tooltip-type="Witch power" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_WitchPowers_1.webp" alt="Twilight Warding"><span class="tooltip-name" data-tooltip-type="Witch power">Twilight Warding</span></span></a> has been causing a lot of player deaths, <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-hardcore-players-mysteriously-dying-to-unknown-killer-in-season-7/">as damage could be reflected</a>. This was a major issue in Hardcore, and Blizzard disabled the power until they can find a fix. </p>

<p>Blizzard have decided to disable the <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" data-tooltip-type="Witch power" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" data-tooltip-type="Witch power" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_WitchPowers_2.webp" alt="Decay Augmentation"><span class="tooltip-name" data-tooltip-type="Witch power">Decay Augmentation</span></span></a> Witchcraft Power. Players will not be able to purchase or equip it until it&#8217;s brought back, which is planned for next week. The power was causing certain classes to very easily clear Pit tier 150 and deal massive amounts of damage. Here&#8217;s Rob talking about the issue.</p>

<p>Hello all &#8211;</p>
<p>We have seen the reports related to some very egregious numbers coming from a few builds/classes. The team has some fixes underway, but in the meantime we will be disabling the Decay Augmentation Witchcraft Power in the game as this is tied to some of these issues. This means players will not be able to equip or purchase this power during this time.</p>
<p>We will be working on a fix and bringing this back to players next week. The team will attempt to see if we can do this via a server hotfix, but if we can’t get this in via a hotfix then we will look at doing a quick client patch shortly after 2.1.1 is released.</p>
<p>Additionally, we did want to provide a few other updates on some other class items we have seen bubble up to the top of conversations.</p>
<p>Necromancer: There is currently an issue with the Ring of Mendeln and its interactions with minion builds. We do have a fix for this and it is slated for 2.1.2.</p>
<p>Barbarian: We implemented a fix for the Mantle of Mountain’s Fury back during our first hotfix for 2.1.0. Since then, we have seen some much better results, but we have noticed there was some confusion related to Damage over Time from the quakes and the explosion damage being inconsistent. We do plan on addressing this which will result in some further strength to this build. We do want to note that we will be looking at this build and doing some balance tweaks as we start the next season.</p>
<p>This is just a few items we are looking and there are many more including game loading issues, client stability, and other class related items that go beyond the list mentioned above. We appreciate the feedback and everyone hopping into Season 7 to check out the new Witchcraft powers.</p>
