Reddit user Nice-Brief9261 who claims thousands of hours in Diablo 4, summed up the community’s frustration.
“Blizzard changed the entire Battle Pass to make it so you have to pay more… Even with the deluxe version, it’s $28 and you still have to but things.“
While Blizzard promised more player freedom, players argue it’s a thinly-veiled downgrade!
Compared to the previous 90-tier Battle Pass, players now unlock fewer rewards across multiple systems, and Platinum is no longer included in the premium track!

- Old Premium Battle Pass: 700 Platinum, 2 armor sets, 17 weapons, mount, cosmetics, and more.
- Reliquary (Free): 3 weapons, 1 armor, 1 mount, 200 Platinum.
- Reliquary (Premium): No Platinum, no emotes or titles, fewer items in total.
“I bought three premium passes for the armor sets. With this downgrade? Never again.”

One thing is for certain: the community definitely is not happy with all this and given that S8 is just another season of borrowed powers, many are leaving the season early to make sure their voices get heard.
