Many Diablo IV players are still frustrated with the lack of activities the game has to offer once reaching Torment IV. Recently, a discussion on Reddit explored potential changes to improve the endgame loop, making it more engaging and rewarding.
A Rogue-Like Mode in Diablo?
One of the most popular ideas was the suggestion of implementing an endless dungeon mode, where players would climb multiple floors and choose from different powers upon reaching the next level.
A similar feature, called Fractured Plane, already exists in Diablo Immortal, so implementing it as an additional endgame activity in Diablo IV doesn’t seem too far-fetched.
Is There No Chase?
Another concern is that everything is achieved too fast, and even on the current PTR, Belial already got defeated in less than 3 seconds.
Blizzard is attempting to address this issue in Season 8 by slowing down the game and increasing its overall difficulty. However, it doesn’t seem to be enough so far.
The Lack of More Interesting Boss Fights
While the current bosses are essential for obtaining more powerful items, most of them don’t feel impactful or epic enough to keep players engaged for long. So far, Lilith is the only boss that feels like a well-choreographed fight (despite its flaws). However, there’s little to no reason to defeat her more than once. The addition of Belial is a first step in a good direction, but we are still eagerly awaiting battles against Mephisto, Diablo, and other iconic enemies!
