Gauntlet Campfire Chat Announcement Coming Next Week


<p>Many players shared their concerns over some potential AI usage in the Spanish version of the game. They took to Reddit and shared clips showcasing some very off-sounding lines and there was a consensus that something was very off, but no one could quite get a handle on it. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Simple Explanation</h2>



<p>Another theory on the terrible quality of the Spanish dub was that Text-to-Speech was used. Unfortunately, the video and several other threads on the subject were removed, so all we have is this. </p>

<p>It seems the Text-to-Speech option was the correct one. A bug caused the old temporary voice-over to be used instead of the intended one from the voice actors. Director of Social &amp; Content Marketing Adam Fletcher explained what was going on in one of the deleted threads.</p>

<p>Players seem quick to call AI shenanigans, even when it&#8217;s fairly obvious it&#8217;s not the case. Either way the bug will be fixed in an upcoming client patch, along with the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/dont-worry-smoldering-ashes-at-end-of-season-journey-is-a-visual-bug/">Season Journey rewards</a> visual issue, and even the &#8220;<a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/the-reliquary-is-getting-players-killed-with-pop-ups/">pressing R always brings up the Reliquary screen</a> which might kill you&#8221; problem. </p>


Concerns of AI Voice Usage Resolved as a Bug Causes Temporary Audio to be Used


<p>The Reliquary system has been getting <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-iv-players-outraged-as-season-8-battle-pass-overhaul-offers-less-for-more/">some bad press lately</a>, as players aren&#8217;t too happy with the new Battle Pass iteration. However, there&#8217;s still plenty of free stuff to get. And if you do decide to go for the premium Reliquaries, there&#8217;s a lot to click! Luckily, <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Trancenture/">Trancenture</a> found an easy improvement.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Right Click</h2>



<p>You can actually skip a middleman screen entirely by simply right-clicking the Reliquary reward you want to buy with Favor Tokens! In the main Reliquary screen listing all the available rewards, if you left click, you&#8217;ll be taken to this screen. </p>

<p>After clicking on the Claim button there you&#8217;ll get the item added to your cosmetics. But if you right-click instead, you&#8217;ll get directly to that second screen, saving seconds! Now, obviously, this isn&#8217;t a huge deal in general. However, if you&#8217;re one of those players who gathers up a whole lot of tokens and then gathers up all the cosmetics at once, it does save a bit of hassle. </p>

Speed Reliquaries: Save a Click for Faster Rewards


<p>Season 8 <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/boss-powers-guide/">Boss Powers</a> in Diablo 4 are account-wide, just like Season 7&#8217;s Witch Powers were.</p>



<p>This means your alts gain access to all your collected Boss Powers including upgrades, which gives them a clear advantage during leveling!</p>



<p>It seems it wasn&#8217;t a very-well known fact, so we&#8217;re highlighting this for visibility.</p>

Diablo 4 Season 8 Boss Powers Are Account-Wide!


<p>Players have been noticing something strange with Belial&#8217;s Return. Looking through the Reliquaries, it looks like Season 8 may just be months in duration. Let&#8217;s take a look at what might be happening. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">61 Days Left?</h2>



<p>When you go into one of the Reliquaries, you can find a &#8220;days left&#8221; section at the top, making it clear how long you have to claim the rewards. Right now, it says there&#8217;s 61 days left, making the whole of Season 8 last only 62. </p>

<p>Previous seasons normally last around 3 months. A duration like this isn&#8217;t entirely unheard of, though. We did recently have another shorter season, as Season 5 only lasted 64 days. However, that was the final season of the base game ahead of the expansion. Season 7 actually went overtime, as it was extended two weeks, lasting 3 months and 9 days. </p>



<p>So it&#8217;s not impossible that we have a shorter season this time around. Season 8 did not bring any massive overhauls or a big amount of content for it to last longer, so if we go by Season 5, perhaps the next season will be a lot bigger in terms of content. It&#8217;s also possible the Reliquary is just wrong and is taking the two-week extension of Season 7 into consideration, so it may be adding that on later. That could make sense as we do currently have another incorrect visual in-game, as the recent <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/dont-worry-smoldering-ashes-at-end-of-season-journey-is-a-visual-bug/">Season Journey reward structure</a> hasn&#8217;t been updated to the actual rewards and won&#8217;t be until a patch arrives. Also, Belial IS the Lord of Lies, so if the duration is incorrect, that sure fits the theme! </p>

Is Diablo 4 Season 8 Just 2 Months Long?


<p>Blizzard&#8217;s overhaul of Diablo 4&#8217;s <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/reliquaries-guide/">Battle Pass</a> in <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season/">Season 8</a> has triggered a wave of frustration in the community, with long-time players voicing strong criticism over reduced rewards and aggressive monetization.</p>



<p>Threads on Reddit have quickly gained popularity as players dissect the new Reliquary system and many are not happy!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">&#8220;Pay More, Get Less&#8221;: Players Call Out Downgrade</h2>



<p>Reddit user <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Nice-Brief9261/">Nice-Brief9261</a> who claims thousands of hours in Diablo 4, summed up the community&#8217;s frustration.</p>



<p>&#8220;<em>Blizzard changed the entire Battle Pass to make it so you have to pay more&#8230; Even with the deluxe version, it&#8217;s $28 and you still have to but things.</em>&#8220;</p>



<p>While Blizzard promised more player freedom, players argue it&#8217;s a thinly-veiled downgrade!</p>



<p>Compared to the previous 90-tier Battle Pass, players now unlock fewer rewards across multiple systems, and Platinum is no longer included in the premium track!</p>

<p>One thing is for certain: the community definitely is not happy with all this and given that S8 is just another <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/boss-powers-guide/">season of borrowed powers</a>, many are leaving the season early to make sure their voices get heard.</p>

Diablo IV Players Outraged as Season 8 Battle Pass Overhaul Offers Less for More


<p>If you&#8217;re not a fan of<a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/apparition-incursion-guide/"> Apparition Incursions</a> in Diablo 4&#8217;s Season 8, keep in mind they are not <strong>mandatory</strong> and you can <strong>skip them</strong> in the endgame!</p>



<p>Hoard Chests opened with Lair Boss Keys grant both seasonal reputation and <span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><img decoding="async" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_S8_BossPower_Currency_0.webp" alt="Spectral Ash"><span class="tooltip-spell-name" data-item-type="Currency" data-item-quality="normal">Spectral Ash</span></a></span>, the currency used for upgrading Boss Powers, which makes it possible to avoid incursions altogether, so just farm them on Torment 1.</p>

Don’t Like Apparition Incursions? You Can Skip Them in the Endgame


<p>It seems players didn&#8217;t quite catch the latest Season Journey update, as some were getting upset that the Ashes are all the way at the end! This isn&#8217;t the case, however, but you wouldn&#8217;t know that from looking at the journey in the game. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Hotfix Without a Visual</h2>



<p>The game UI is still showing the old, pre-hotfix status of Season Journey rewards. </p>

<p>The in-game UI will also be updated, but needs a client patch to enable. So don&#8217;t worry, your Ashes will arrive well ahead of what the game says, and the pet a little bit ahead. </p>


Don’t Worry: Smoldering Ashes at End of Season Journey Is a Visual Bug


<p>We have our very first hotfix of the new season! It&#8217;s just a single-issue one. The problem causing players to not be able to unlock Reliquary items with Favor Tokens has been resolved. </p>

Diablo 4 2.2.0 Season 8 Hotfix: Reliquary Unlocks


<p>The new Reliquary Battle Pass feature is really having a bad day. It&#8217;s just not working properly. From costing players Favor Tokens without giving them their rewards, to just not unlocking when purchased with the Battle Pass, there are many bugs <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/reliquaries-not-unlocking-properly-with-battle-pass/">Blizzard said they&#8217;re working on fixing</a>. However, there&#8217;s a new one that&#8217;s really just very annoying, and potentially dangerous as well! </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Watch Out! It&#8217;s the Seasonal Rewards! </h2>



<p>Players have been getting assaulted by the Reliquary screen mid-battle. It has a message show up when you unlock something from it. That part is fine. However, it will also open the full Reliquary screen if you press R, the default keybind for the feature. Even when you specifically unbound the key! That&#8217;s right, regardless of whether the Reliquary is or isn&#8217;t actually bound to the R key, it will still open when the key is pressed. This turned out to be a pretty big problem for players who use that key for skills. Like <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Wooden-Contract-2760/">Wooden-Contract-2760</a> who uses it for their ultimate:</p>

<p>This is pretty irritating/mildly funny for Softcore players, but if/when this catches Hardcore players unaware and gets them killed, it won&#8217;t be quite as humorous. </p>



<p>While it&#8217;s to be expected for a new feature to have some issues at launch, the Reliquary is really dragging things down for Season 8. Let&#8217;s hope the issues get resolved soon! </p>


The Reliquary Is Getting Players Killed With Pop-Ups


<p>It seems the new Reliquary system is running into trouble! Aside from the already mentioned issues with legacy Battle Passes, it seems the new ones aren&#8217;t quite working as intended either. Blizzard have clarified that they&#8217;re working on an issue that is causing Reliquaries acquired through the Battle pass and its deluxe version to not show up or work properly. </p>
