Here’s a tip you may have known already, but it’s definitely worth a reminder. Many players have recently been realizing that the vendors in Diablo 4 are much more useful than in previous installments.
You can actually get some god rolls on rare items from the town vendors, so you should be checking their items often. Their stock resets every hour and you can see the reset timer at the vendor itself. And if you’re wondering why you aren’t seeing Ancestral items in the shops, you’ll need to be over level 73 for them to show up. This also applies to the Obol/Curiosity vendor.
This method of getting rares is especially useful if you just got a great new aspect on a bad piece of legendary gear. You don’t need the best roll possible in this case, just a solid one from the vendors. That is, if you have the often pretty hefty amounts of gold they’re asking for the gear!
So, good luck with the shops and remember to always keep around 500K gold handy if that god roll arrives!
