How to Get Fugitive Heads and How Much Restless Rot Do They Sell For?

Staff Avatar by Staff

A player has made the ultimate early-season sacrifice and found out just how much Rot a head sells for! We’re also looking at where you can actually get the fugitives, as it seems players aren’t exactly clear on it.

Where to Get Ahead

Fugitive Heads are very important, especially now at the start of the season. You can trade them in for the Occult gems which slot into jewelry items and improve your Witchcraft powers. Finding them isn’t that hard, but the drop rates aren’t great either. They drop from Headless Husk bosses. These bosses appear either in Rootholds or in Headhunt zones. In Headhunts completing Whisper bounties gives a chance to spawn Exposed Roots, and after clearing a root there’s a chance a Headless Husk will spawn from Uprooted Cocoons. The Husks are marked on the minimap.

After you defeat a Headless Husk boss you will always receive a Fugitive Head. The bosses have an increasing chance of spawning based on difficulty, starting at Torment 1: 4%, 6%, 8%, and finally 10% at Torment 4. There’s also the Draught of WhispersDraught of Whispers, which then doubles your chances of getting an Uprooted Cocoon and Headless Husk! You can get the elixir from Whisper bounties, Coven Caches from reputation levels, or from Exposed Roots.

Selling a Head

While you’ll definitely want to use the heads to craft Occult gems, prismmonkey went ahead and sacrificed a potential gem for themselves to find out how much they would sell for. It turns out you can get 300 Restless Rot for them!

Good luck finding the Husks and heads!
