<p>A persistent bug in Diablo 4’s Infernal Hordes event is leaving players lootless and stranded. After completing the event, players report receiving <strong>no rewards</strong> and being <strong>unable to teleport out.</strong></p>



<p>This bug, <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/infernal-hordes-bug-results-in-no-chests-at-end/">dating back to<strong> </strong>Season 5</a>, has become a recurring issue, with reports steadily coming in from frustrated players.</p>

<p>Despite community feedback, Blizzard has yet to address or resolve this problem. Hopefully, we&#8217;ll get a fix for the issue soon!</p>


Infernal Hordes Bug Still Unresolved – Players Left Lootless and Stuck


<p>The new Vessel of Hatred class has been tearing it up and then some. There&#8217;s multiple hundred trillion damage++ builds and seemingly more and more show up every other day! The disparity between it and the other classes is truly huge, and players have been wondering if anything will be done about it. </p>



<p>Well, Diablo General Manager Rod Fergusson seems to have indicated Blizzard might be ok with leaving the Spiritborn OP as is! In a recent tweet he posted the question whether to fix the class or leave it as is, since players are having fun with it:</p>

<p><br>Major changes like the ones needed to fix the Spiritborn arrive in the mid-season patch. There&#8217;s still some time before that&#8217;s coming, so players&#8217; opinions definitely matter most right now. So, which side do you come out on? Fix the pretty obviously broken and OP class? Or leave those playing it to have fun and speed run tier 150 pits while the other classes can&#8217;t get within a mile of them? </p>


Diablo General Manager Asks Whether Spiritborn Should Stay Broken

<p>Blizzard just released the upcoming 2.0.4 patch notes! The patch is coming on October 29th and has many improvements and fixes, both for the base game/Season 6 and the Vessel of Hatred expansion! </p>



<p>The big news is a higher gem fragment cap, which is something players have been asking for for a long time! Then we have buffs to Realmwalker HP and more enemies spawning around him. There&#8217;s also plenty of fixes to Dark Citadel, Zir and other cosmetic drops. The frequent and far too easy dismounting issue will also be resolved! There&#8217;s also some new affixes that can be Greater, as they were previously bugged. </p>

<p>Brazier cellars/events are a pretty rare find these days, with players not even knowing what they are! You may have never run in to one of these, especially if you started in one of the later seasons, when going into cellars is a lot more rare. But if you do find yourself in one of these and are unsure of what to do, here&#8217;s a very easy tool that handles that for you. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Tool</h2>



<p>First off, the rewards aren&#8217;t exactly worth the alt-tabbing or phone lookup, with just a Radiant Chest popping up. But leaving a cool event unsolved may be too much for some! In any case, this puzzle solver for a different game (presumably Dungeons and Dragons Online) also handles the braziers! </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">For Those Who Like Puzzles: the Rules</h2>



<p>If you want to solve this on your own, here are the rules. This  puzzle is basically a variation of the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lights_Out_(game)" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lights Out console game released back in 1995</a>. You have a 3&#215;3 field, and some of the braziers are burning while others are dark. The goal is to light all of them up. The catch is that when you toggle the state of a brazier (on to off or off to on), it also affects the adjacent braziers (vertically and horizontally &#8211; a diagonal brazier will be unaffected) and changes their state. So that&#8217;s it, go click some stuff and have fun :).</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">For Those Who Want to Try but Need a Tip</h2>



<p>What you need to do is this: orient yourself. Decide which row will be the top, middle and bottom. Then apply this methodology:</p>



<p>Look at the top row to see which braziers are unlit.<br>Go to the middle row and interact with braziers that will light up unlit braziers on the top row.<br>Go to the bottom row and interact with braziers below each unlit brazier from the middle row.<br>Now go to the top row and interact with all of the braziers in line with unlit braziers on the bottom row.<br>Repeat this process until all of braziers are lit. It may take a while but you&#8217;ll get there.</p>



<p>There is also the method in which you light the corner braziers while the center one is unlit:</p>

Easy Diablo 4 Brazier Puzzle Solver Tool


<p>While wandering through town, <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Jetrone/">Jetrone</a> spotted an item that&#8217;s been <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/masterworking-guide/">masterworked</a> not just 12 times, but over 32 times! But how&#8217;s that even possible and what does such an item look like?</p>



<p>Here are the <strong>Warlord Leg Plates of Interdiction</strong> in their full glory.</p>

<p>As you can see, the item has 2 orange stats and one yellow stat, meaning it&#8217;s been masterworked at least 32x out of the intended 12 times. This is not possible under normal circumstances and could lead to account penalties. Let&#8217;s hope Blizzard fixes this bug soon!</p>


Player Caught with 32x Masterworked Item – How Did This Happen?


<p>Diablo 4 is becoming pretty complex with its gearing and itemization. There are so many things to look out for, build specifics, Mythic Uniques, affix rolls, Greater Affixes, and so on. In all that noise it&#8217;s easy to miss some really simple things and methods, so we&#8217;re starting a new series of extremely obvious things you may have missed or just forget to regularly do! </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Tempering, AKA Bricking</h2>



<p>In this first edition we&#8217;re taking a look at one of the biggest material sinks (and also positivity/will to live sinks), tempering! If you think you&#8217;ve found the perfect item, think again! Tempering can very quickly brick your item, making it unusuable, or at the very least a lot less usable than you thought. Even with the new Scroll of Restoration which gives you another fresh tempering slate, bricking a few items is inevitable. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Temper First! </h2>



<p>So, what&#8217;s the uber-secret tech, the magic method that will help you not brick your items? Well, there isn&#8217;t one. This is &#8220;extremely obvious tips&#8221;, remember? So the entire opus of this particular one is simply: <strong>temper first</strong>. Yep, that&#8217;s it. When you get a new good item, start with tempering and see how that goes before doing anything else with it. Sounds incredibly simple and obvious, but many players spent a LOT of resources on enchanting an item BEFORE tempering it. And then when you spent tens/hundreds of millions of gold and a lot of mats getting that perfect enchant roll &#8211; you brick your item. TWICE. This may or may not be from personal experience&#8230; multiple personal experiences, but we&#8217;re definitely not the only ones to forget this simple little detail. <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/cornmonger_/">Cornmonger_</a> also pointed this out, and reminded us that it&#8217;s probably something that players should be reminded of. </p>

Spread Mephisto’s Corruption with Vases of Hatred!


<p>We&#8217;ve all seen Greater Affixes (although probably not as often as we&#8217;d want), but now there&#8217;s a new category in town! Players have been running into affixes with less than the minimum roll. As always there&#8217;s an explanation, and the changes aren&#8217;t exactly build-breaking, but it&#8217;s still pretty interesting so let&#8217;s take a look. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">By All Rights, It Should Not Exist, but It Does</h2>



<p>As <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/DonRavorin/">DonRavorin</a> so poetically puts it, the piece below has some extremely appropriate flavor text considering its 7.9% out of an 8.0% minimum roll! </p>

<p>This seems to be a rounding error, so the item pretty much has 8%, probably 7.94 or something similar, but the game rounds that down for whatever reason. Or perhaps the 8% minimum is rounded up and the real minimum number is, in fact 7.9x%! Whatever the case may be, it seems the issue specifically involves the numbers 7.9% / 8.0%, as other players have reported the same on other affixes and items:</p>

<p><br>Again, just a funny little detail that doesn&#8217;t really affect anything, but it&#8217;s one of the unique features of Diablo 4! </p>


Lesser Affixes? Sub-Minimum Numbers on Items in Season 6


<p>After the very vague <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-season-6-hotfixes-october-21st-material-drop-rates-buffed/">hotfix notes from yesterday</a>, players were left wondering: how much did the buff actually change? Luckily we have <a href="https://www.youtube.com/@Rob2628">Rob </a>jumping in and looking over all the key activities and sharing the results! </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Material Matters</h2>



<p><a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_Materials_20.webp" alt="Rawhide"><span class="tooltip-spell-name" data-item-type="Crafting Material" data-item-quality="normal">Rawhide</span></span></a> and <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_Materials_18.webp" alt="Iron Chunk"><span class="tooltip-spell-name" data-item-type="Crafting Material" data-item-quality="normal">Iron Chunk</span></span></a> drop rates were buffed in yesterday&#8217;s hotfixes, but there was no word by how much. Well, we now know and it seems pretty significant. Well, for everything except Legion events, which were buffed 10x, but that still makes them pretty much useless &#8211; which shows you just how useless they were before! Every other source of the base materials except for salvage has been majorly buffed and Rob took a look at the end results for the various activities. </p>



<p>There is one key to the numbers, and that&#8217;s the <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_Realm_Walker_3.webp" alt=" Seething Opal of Materials"><span class="tooltip-spell-name" data-item-type="Elixir" data-item-quality="magic"> Seething Opal of Materials</span></span></a>. The rewards that it gives were also buffed in the patch, so if you need Rawhide and Iron Chunks, you always want to have a materials Opal active. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Numbers</h2>



<p>All activities have had their basic material rewards at least doubled. Legion events got the biggest buff but are also the most pointless, at 30 Rawhide per run. The big winner is Whisper Caches, as they now go for around 400+ for basic and up to 900 for legendary caches. This is a little under triple their previous drops. This is especially useful as you can combine them with Helltides, and even get some alts leveled if you want to spend the XP there! </p>



<p>The Realmwalker got his drops quadrupled as he&#8217;s around 400 now and is actually worthwhile. Infernal Hordes are still very random, and they vary from about the same as before to double, at 800. Nightmare dungeons come in at 200, with the Pit at 80-180, but with some fast runs. </p>

<p><br>In conclusion, get those Opals ready!  Farm a whole lot of Whispers, and generally do pretty much any activity you like and you should be ok with the basic mats for a while. At least we don&#8217;t need boss materials to farm the most basic of mats anymore! </p>



<p>So let&#8217;s see if this buff fixes the bottleneck of basic materials! And if it does, is there another one coming to replace them?</p>
