We’ve all seen Greater Affixes (although probably not as often as we’d want), but now there’s a new category in town! Players have been running into affixes with less than the minimum roll. As always there’s an explanation, and the changes aren’t exactly build-breaking, but it’s still pretty interesting so let’s take a look.
By All Rights, It Should Not Exist, but It Does
As DonRavorin so poetically puts it, the piece below has some extremely appropriate flavor text considering its 7.9% out of an 8.0% minimum roll!
This seems to be a rounding error, so the item pretty much has 8%, probably 7.94 or something similar, but the game rounds that down for whatever reason. Or perhaps the 8% minimum is rounded up and the real minimum number is, in fact 7.9x%! Whatever the case may be, it seems the issue specifically involves the numbers 7.9% / 8.0%, as other players have reported the same on other affixes and items:
Again, just a funny little detail that doesn’t really affect anything, but it’s one of the unique features of Diablo 4!
