<p>The patch 2.1/Season 7 PTR is live but Blizzard have had to disable the NPC that boosts new characters to test-worthy levels. There were issues with multiple players interacting with him and their Paragon levels, so he&#8217;s on hiatus until tomorrow. </p>



<p>Until then the new character copy feature is the best way to get some high level geared up characters in to test stuff out. </p>

<p>Hi all &#8211;</p>
<p>We are seeing some server crashing due to the Boost NPC and its interactions with multiple players Paragon levels. We are going to block the functionality of the NPC (Mrak) in the coming hour.</p>
<p>This will be re-enabled tomorrow morning with fixes. Not an ideal start to our Season 7 PTR. We apologize on this but we want to make sure players can get in without interruption while we fix up Mrak’s issues.</p>

<li>All damage from Summons is attributed to the player’s character, rather than the Summoned unit.</li>

<li>Updated wording on various effects to remove “You and your Summons” where it is now redundant to specifically call out your Summons.</li>

<blockquote><p><strong>Developer’s Note: </strong><em>Summoning Skills have behaved inconsistently across the Classes, making it hard to know how to scale their damage or what effects would interact with your Summons. This update aims to standardize their interactions across the board by attributing the damage they deal to the player, rather than the Summoned unit. This means that damage from your Summons will be able to trigger all of your Lucky Hit effects, and interact with all of your damage modifiers, multipliers, and triggers. Note that effects such as Ring of Mendeln still properly increase their damage output based on the damage bonuses you have for the specific Minion type that triggered the effect. Additionally, specific changes for Necromancer have been implemented to reflect these changes, which can be seen above in the relevant section.</em></p></blockquote>

<li>Fixed an issue where Rapid Fire projectiles with Scoundrel’s Kiss equipped couldn’t hit certain stationary enemies, such as Hollow Defilements.</li>
<li>Fixed an uncommon issue where Preparation wouldn’t reduce your Ultimate Skill’s Cooldown by the appropriate amount.</li>
<li>Fixed an issue where Shroud of Khanduras could trigger certain Lucky Hit effects.</li>
<li>Fixed a bug causing Ravager’s Aspect to gain its bonuses multiplicatively with each stack of itself.</li>

While there may be issues players experience during the PTR, the list below calls out issues we are aware of and intend to address by the official release of 2.1.</p>
<p><strong>General</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A potential crash may occur when fighting the Herald.</li>
<li>Triggering dismount and spur at the same time on a mount may cause them to shout and repeat it while teleporting.</li>
<li>Scrapper bomb sound effects persist after the bomb has been used and disappears.</li>
<li>Aimless Souls in the Dark Citadel T-pose when dying.</li>
<li>The following Uniques will display incorrect assets when equipped or viewed in the inventory: Indira’s Memory, Mantle of Mountain’s Fury, Assassin’s Stride.</li>

<p>Necromancers are receiving a lot of changes on the upcoming PTR, mostly to skills and passives. The way summons work in general has also been updated, and there&#8217;s the two new Uniques that combine Blood Wave and Bone Spear, so there&#8217;s plenty of changes ahead. </p>

<li>All damage from Summons is attributed to the player’s character, rather than the Summoned unit.</li>

This update aims to standardize their interactions across the board by attributing the damage they deal to the player, rather than the Summoned unit. This means that damage from your Summons will be able to trigger all of your Lucky Hit effects, and interact with all of your damage modifiers, multipliers, and triggers. Note that effects such as Ring of Mendeln still properly increase their damage output based on the damage bonuses you have for the specific Minion type that triggered the effect. All New Items and Changes for Necromancers in the Patch 2.1/season 7 PTR


<p>Werewolves and regular wolves are the focus of the season it seems, at least so far. From the new Unique boosting the related key passive, pushing Critical Damage for the shapeshift form way up, to the new Aspect giving wolf companions Hurricanes, there&#8217;s plenty to play around with. Hurricane can now also be cast while moving, so that&#8217;s one big jumping-around Werewolf with a cadre of wolves with hurricanes of their own! There&#8217;s plenty more buffs to Werewolves and the class overall, including the class Spirit Boons, so let&#8217;s dive in. </p>

It’s Quake Time! All Barbarian Changes in PTR Patch 2.1/Season 7


<p>The patch 2.1/Season 7 PTR brings many changes to all classes, with the Spiritborn probably getting the most. With nerfs to over-performing builds, buffs to others, many Unique item changes and more, there&#8217;s plenty to see in the upcoming testing period. </p>



<p>Razor Wings and Stinger get some base skill buffs, and all Ultimate skills get a major buff at rank 5. The Centipede Spirit Hall also gets some improvements, as do many Aspects and Uniques, so let&#8217;s dive in. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">New Affix: Elemental Totems</h2>



<p>A new challenge awaits players in the form of <strong>Elemental Totems</strong>, which can spawn during combat. These totems affect nearby monsters with unique buffs depending on the type of the totem:</p>



<ul>
<li><strong>Cold Totem</strong>: Monsters slow players and apply <strong>Vulnerable</strong> on hit.</li>



<li><strong>Demonic Totem</strong>: Monsters move and attack faster.</li>



<li><strong>Spirit Totem:</strong> Monsters revive once when killed. Revived monsters won&#8217;t grant loot or experience!</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Totem Mechanics</h2>



<ul>
<li>Monsters only receive buffs while within the totem&#8217;s area of effect.</li>



<li>Totems can be destroyed by attacking them or they&#8217;ll decay automatically over 20 seconds.</li>



<li>Destroying totems as soon as possible is important to mitigate the buffs they provide.</li>
</ul>
