<p>Diablo 4&#8217;s Season of Witchcraft is getting some great updates soon! According to <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/patch-2-1-1-notes/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">the latest patch notes</a>, some of the main seasonal activities are receiving big improvements, making it easier for us to farm Forgotten Altars for <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/witchcraft-guide/#lost_powers" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lost Witchcraft Powers</a>, track Headhunt progress, and complete Whisper Bounties.</p>



<p>If you do not want to read through the full list of patch notes, here is a quick breakdown of the most important changes:</p>

<p>It might not seem like a lot, but these changes should make things feel much better throughout your gameplay sessions, especially for players who have struggled to find Forgotten Altars due to their rarity!</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to Farm Forgotten Altars</h2>



<p>Now that there will be increased spawn rates, it is the perfect time to farm Forgotten Altars! If you are looking for the best way to do so, here is what we recommend:</p>



<ul>
<li><strong>Farm Hoarfrost Demise in Torment 4</strong> (or at least <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/world-tier-difficulty/#torment_difficulties" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Torment 1+</a> if you have not reached T4 yet).</li>



<li><strong>Use a <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_Consumables_9.webp" alt="Draught of Whispers"><span class="tooltip-spell-name" data-item-type="Elixir" data-item-quality="magic">Draught of Whispers</span></span></a> Elixir</strong> while running through the dungeon to improve your odds of finding an Altar.</li>



<li><strong>Reset the dungeon if there is no Altar inside</strong>; repeat until you find some.</li>



<li><strong>Try Pit or Roothold runs</strong> while using the Elixir, as they also increase your chances.</li>
</ul>



<p><strong>Keep in mind:</strong> <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/the-pit-of-the-artificers-guide/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pit runs</a> seem to be the most effective, but you will not be able to invite a friend to join when you find an Altar there.</p>


Big Buffs to Forgotten Altars, Ravens of the Tree, and Whisper Bounties!

As we&#8217;ve already covered, <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" data-tooltip-type="Witch power" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" data-tooltip-type="Witch power" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_WitchPowers_1.webp" alt="Twilight Warding"><span class="tooltip-name" data-tooltip-type="Witch power">Twilight Warding</span></span></a> has been causing a lot of player deaths, <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-hardcore-players-mysteriously-dying-to-unknown-killer-in-season-7/">as damage could be reflected</a>. This was a major issue in Hardcore, and Blizzard disabled the power until they can find a fix. </p>

Twilight Warding Witchcraft Power Also Disabled


<p>Blizzard have decided to disable the <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" data-tooltip-type="Witch power" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" data-tooltip-type="Witch power" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_WitchPowers_2.webp" alt="Decay Augmentation"><span class="tooltip-name" data-tooltip-type="Witch power">Decay Augmentation</span></span></a> Witchcraft Power. Players will not be able to purchase or equip it until it&#8217;s brought back, which is planned for next week. The power was causing certain classes to very easily clear Pit tier 150 and deal massive amounts of damage. Here&#8217;s Rob talking about the issue.</p>

<p>Hello all &#8211;</p>
<p>We have seen the reports related to some very egregious numbers coming from a few builds/classes. The team has some fixes underway, but in the meantime we will be disabling the Decay Augmentation Witchcraft Power in the game as this is tied to some of these issues. This means players will not be able to equip or purchase this power during this time.</p>
<p>We will be working on a fix and bringing this back to players next week. The team will attempt to see if we can do this via a server hotfix, but if we can’t get this in via a hotfix then we will look at doing a quick client patch shortly after 2.1.1 is released.</p>
<p>Additionally, we did want to provide a few other updates on some other class items we have seen bubble up to the top of conversations.</p>
<p>Necromancer: There is currently an issue with the Ring of Mendeln and its interactions with minion builds. We do have a fix for this and it is slated for 2.1.2.</p>
<p>Barbarian: We implemented a fix for the Mantle of Mountain’s Fury back during our first hotfix for 2.1.0. Since then, we have seen some much better results, but we have noticed there was some confusion related to Damage over Time from the quakes and the explosion damage being inconsistent. We do plan on addressing this which will result in some further strength to this build. We do want to note that we will be looking at this build and doing some balance tweaks as we start the next season.</p>
<p>This is just a few items we are looking and there are many more including game loading issues, client stability, and other class related items that go beyond the list mentioned above. We appreciate the feedback and everyone hopping into Season 7 to check out the new Witchcraft powers.</p>
<p>We will provide an update soon regarding the above after the weekend.</p>

Diablo 4 Patch 2.1.1 Patch Notes: February 4th: Armory Improvements, New Whisper Bounties, Forgotten Altars Spawn Rate Buffs


<p>Season 7 of Diablo 4 brought some big changes to the Season Journey, but one surprise that has just recently been discovered is a hidden title reward! <strong>If you complete all the objectives in the Destroyer tier</strong>, the final tier of the Season Journey, you will unlock the exclusive titles &#8220;The Coven&#8217;s&#8221; and &#8220;Agent&#8221;.</p>

<p>In previous seasons, hidden titles were only awarded to players who completed 100% of the Season Journey, meaning every single tier had to be finished. However, in Season of Witchcraft, the requirement has changed; now, you only need to complete the Destroyer tier.</p>



<p>That said, do not expect it to be an easy ride! The final tier is filled with challenging objectives that will push your build and skill to the limit. How to Unlock the Hidden Season 7 Title


<p>Update: the tooltip for the rune has been fixed <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/patch-2-1-1-notes/">in the latest patch</a>! </p>



<p>The Season 7 patch changed many systems, runes being one of them. However, one particular rune seems to have avoided one change intended for it. And with that non-change, it is now a great way to get some easier rare and legendary conversions! </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Magic or Rare? Yes. </h2>



<p>The Season of Witchcraft patch changed some rune rarities to go with their tuned powers. Qua runes were downgraded to Magic AKA blue quality. However, as originally spotted by <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/LurkerOnTheInternet/">LurkerOnTheInternet</a>, while you can see that change in-game visually, it was not applied to the actual behind-the-scenes stat.</p>

<p>This means Qua now drops from sources of Magic runes and are easier to get, but when you go to reforge them, they still count as rares. This means that you&#8217;ll always get a rare rune when reforging Qua, and have a 15% chance at a legendary as well! </p>

<p>So if you have a bunch of Qua runes laying around and don&#8217;t need them, it&#8217;s time to reforge! </p>


How to Get Rare and Legendary Runes Easier


<p>Today&#8217;s hotfixes bring back Cleansing Pyres, as Blizzard fixed the server issues they were causing. There&#8217;s also a fix for Exposed roots dropping other players&#8217; loot and more. </p>
