Check out the Masterworking changes coming in the Vessel of Hatred expansion!
In addition to other game systems, Blizzard made the following changes to Masterworking in Vessel of Hatred:
- The gold cost for Masterworking Ranks 5-12 has been reduced by 1/3.
- Masterworking mats will now drop from more sources inside Nightmare Dungeons, including Resplendent Chests, Normal Chests, Miscellaneous Interactive objectives (like ambient corpses), Breakables, The Butcher, Treasure Goblins, and Local Events.
- Furthermore, Non-Ancestral Legendary items can now be Masterworked up to 8 times and have 2 Tempering Affixes. Material costs for Masterworking at lower ranks have been adjusted.
- In Infernal Hordes, both the Chest of Materials and Chest of Gold will consume all remaining Aether rewarding Gold or crafting materials (including Masterworking materials) the more Aether is spent on the chest.
